Called most of the winners at this time frame in previous years. But yeah anything can happen.

The cast does appear a bit bland this year though.

I don't know how Scarlett got to be bookies' favourite before the show started, but she shows signs that she won't last long. Nor will her nails.

Larry Lamb is 69! Squats with a man on his back at that age is impressive. Also I'm mildly impressed that Vorderman doesn't look as bad without makeup as I expected. Not great, I'll admit, but not as gruesome as one would anticipate - not bad for 55 with "work done". Great norks.

Oh God yes. Thing about being a celeb is that its very easy to lead a life that requires constant high income. As soon as that income stream dries up, celebs risk the fate of becoming 'normos' again - people that have low incomes or maybe even have to do real work again.

Kerry Katona was a prime example - spends way more money than her celeb profile allows her to earn, always going bankrupt etc. Takes the 'easy money' on offer from celeb to keep the HMRC off her back, makes a few bob and blows it all on a fancy car for the next father of her next kid....

The other side of the coin is what happened to Mylene Class. Her career was in the toilet, went on Celeb and it hiked her profile right up, saved her career, and probably returned millions in extra earnings. Everyone is going to dream of having her result.
Yes, it definitely depends on how you conduct yourself as to whether it improves your career or not. I would say that Myleene is a few points higher up the IQ ladder than Kerry, and knew how to work it for her benefit.

I'd say the cast seem nicer than usual with no obvious hate figures. Scarlett and Jordan seem a bit dippy though. Surprised to see Larry Lamb there, he is a very successful actor and I can't believe he has to do this. Maybe he just likes that sort of thing, he certainly looks to have adapted well.

I thought she looked pretty good and much better than I was expecting. Lack of makeup had a much less dramatic effect than I was expecting - and so far, she's coming across as very likeable.

Olla on the other hand - looked stunning in the city, but without makeup and a posh frock - frankly not even in my league.

Agree about Ola Jordan. Real let-down. She has big bags under her eyes. The hockey player Sam Quek looks naturally pretty and much more my cup of tea.

Some awful stuff on there, no way could I eat anything that's still live. Scarlett probably helped herself by getting on with it.

I reckon she's no stranger to swallowing stuff biggrin. I take back my doubts about Scarlett - she makes a lot of noise and fuss, but she gets the job done.

This year's lot look like good entertainment.

Danny Baker doing this because he won't have the chance to ruin Top Gear again this year?

I used to be quite a fan (he's done some good work on GLR/Radio London), but I'm getting a bit bored of him.
I find his show on 5 live particularly dull, and switched over to Huey on 6 Music a few years back.

It's the interviews that take up a quarter of the show with generally dull guests that kill it for me, and being Chris Evans's lackey certainly doesn't help either.

Don't knock DB. He's an original. He does not conform. He's a spod and a geek. He's an enthusiast.
Don't wish him gone, nor his like.
You'll miss him.

I like him, I just find the 5 live show a bit dull.
