What an awful show. I keep thinking it'll get better, but it's turning into a circus act. I won't be surprised if Amazon pull the plug on it asap.
they have signed a 3 season contract, they won't be pulling the plug.I really don't get people are surprised at the format, it is pretty much the same as before with out the star stuff people moaned about.
I like it I am not going to moan the little faults about it as it is a car show that entertains, which is pretty hard really considering talking about cars will bore most of the population.

So far it just feels lazy to me. They had the budget and time to make a series of their, great, big specials. Instead they've knocked out a series that feels more like their crap Christmas DVDs.
This is exactly the phrase I was looking for. There's no "spark" which the really good episodes of Top Gear had. As a earlier poster said. Started out positive. Then Hammond turned up. Conversation stuff was poor (and apparently factually incorrect) But the concept BMWs are brilliant!
Star stuff is wearing now. Self driving nonsense. Really? Knocking down the house was kinda good. That bit of wood pierced the window!
Whats with the not very funny/fathomable drone thing each week?
So far Episode 1, episode 3 then episode 2
I'm pretty much the same opinion as the majority, that episode one was pretty ace, the second was average, and last night was halfway between, good but not amazing. The biggest thing that bugged me with last nights episode was essentially two pieces, the AM, Rolls and the Hellcat, plus conversation street (which was improved this week IMO)
Again IMO opinion it needed a little more variety.
Anyways, we're 3 in out of 36. They'll figure out what works and what doesn't in due course. Has anyone any idea if there is at least one special in the pipeline? This is where they really excelled..... the Beeb probably have a caveat around that like they have regarding everything else!
Again IMO opinion it needed a little more variety.

I think the episode just before New Year is supposed to be the 90 minute Africa special, assuming the one just before Christmas will be the Lapland one.Again IMO opinion it needed a little more variety.

That is the first episode since Hammonds dragster crash where he hasnt actively annoyed me, probably helped massively by him acting exactly how I would given a Hellcat, I want one soo much.
I know what you mean about acting that way if I owned a Hellcat... good Lord I laready act that way with the (relatively) quiet supercharged toy I currently have! TBH I expected the Aston to spank the Dodge around that track and while 0.5 seconds isn't to be sniffed at I am surprised it was that close (with a 20 year old chasis.....)Gassing Station | TV, Film, Video Streaming & Radio | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
