Hoy hitting a mine was a missed opportunity for Nessy to make an appearance.
I must admit I was expecting a Nessie so the mine actually came as a mild surprise. I'd have to go back and check again, but I'm pretty sure that in the opening credits as the drone cam looked out over the water, before it was shot down, there was a small Nessie. I could be wrong though.

Celebrity trainwreck still a waste of two minutes of everyone's life.
Agreed, I really don't understand it. It's almost as if Amazon has told them it needs them to solidify new catchphrases after losing 'oh cock' to the BBC, the whole CBC thing seems to a set up for James to say 'So he's not coming on then?' Maybe we can expect CHM action figures on Amazon soon, Jerermy's would be 'Let's not get bogged down with...' and Hammond's would probably just be 'Really'.

6/10 from me. Would have scored it higher had it had a decent ending, it all fell apart when they reached Le Harve.
Funniest thing was the noise that Jeremy's starter motor made - don't know if that was real or added on afterwards.
I still wish they'd hire some funny writers.
So badly added that it was laughable.. And made me mad, as it made it obvious that it was a faked problem. Did they fake these things better in the Top Gear days, or have they just gotten lazy and scripted everything?Funniest thing was the noise that Jeremy's starter motor made - don't know if that was real or added on afterwards.

And say the William Woollard figures were much better.

Did they mention Clarkson once dropping a skip on a BiTurbo because it was "everything a Maserati shouldn't be" or something along those lines. Always thought they were a very cool little car.
Clarkson has publicly stated his contempt for the Bi-Turbo on more than one occasion. He reasoned that it had corrupted the brand name and was as far removed as an X-Type Diesel Estate is from on E-Type.cologne2792 said:

Maserati´s of the De Tomaso era had an understated design, but at the time they were exotic, had high performance and interiors that were miles away from the plastics of a say.. Porsches of the time. There were no diesel, estate, nor SUV Maseratis. At the end of the day, De Tomaso bought Maserati as a bankrupted, failed company for change from his pocket and sold it for +100 millioin euros two decades later. He saw rightly, that Maserati did not have chance of survival as Ferrari competitor, and moved it to a new niche as luxurious, sporting car with an Italian flair. An exclusive Italian BMW, with emphasis more on the luxury bit. Fashions may have changed, but that seems to be where Maserati is even today.
I love mine.. :-) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fWUopOlZcKY&t=...

The Maserati thing was good but they took it slightly too far with some of the silly bits, should have just made them drive far away and chuck in some challenges but maybe the BBC don't let them do that.
My only annoyance was Hammond in the 124, he's not the best at this stuff and didn't even have all his facts correct but he's still better than almost any alternative.

I know you're all busy arguing about "is it or is it any good", but can anyone tell me what the red sports car was in the title sequence please.
