I'm not sure where that Lexus fits in with its German rivals....power-wise it's certainly closer to the M3, but size is more like an M5, as is the price...but it's 100bhp down on the M5....

The intro music really gets on my wick.

12th shows was probably one of the best of the series to be honest. Even if they did spend most of the time testing 3 SUVs. The distinct lack of OTT cocking about, poor acting and a bit more subtlety with the adolescent humour made it happen.

Best episode by far, for the last several years.

laughed a lot at the launch control, just shows that they dont need to try to hard for it to be good.

Goodness that Bentayga is stupid thing. In other news I've just spent a good 30 minutes optioning up an F-Pace.

The F-Pace did genuinely look like a bargain compared to the other two! Best looking of the 3 as well.

I've seen a few of them around, they are a good looking vehicle. As I haven't been sick on a recent drive, I guess I haven't seen a Bentayga in the metal.

Definitely some good funny moments in this episode. I especially like the place in Austria. There is a beer named after the place, called Hell. Took them a while to get the name through, as fking Hell could be frowned upon.

The wikipedia page for that town is rather entertaining too.

an enjoyable hour's viewing. That Bentley is truly something but I am not sure what £200k...yikes
He is right about the Range Rover though nearly 60 years of off-road evolution. It funny how you can even possibly think £50k is a bargain though.

Anyone looking forward to the repeats on Dave?
I don't tend to watch repeats of anything, but these wouldn't be out of place there at all. No one's going to watch any repeats of the last TG series, if anyone buys them.

Does feel like we've had loads of these instead of being starved of them. Really enjoying the series.

I recently watched some of the old TG "buy an x for < £1500" challenges. The three of them genuinely look to be having a good laugh, and while there's clearly still a large scripted element, it doesn't feel it in the same way GT does.

Aside from the money, I'd love to know if they actually still enjoy what they're doing.

how long do you think his attention span is?. I heard it on another programme recently. Seems OK to me.

Episode 12 hands down the best episode so far.

Simple, came across as more natural and relaxed, and was genuinely funny in places.

It is them doing what they do best, and it worked. There may still be hope....

I just watched it now.

It was one of the better episodes of "not Top Gear, honest guv". smile

Definitely the best episode of TGT so far, and felt pretty much indistinguishable from a decent episode of Top Gear 2.0

Just watched it with Mrs Checkmate, we enjoyed it, she even opined that the RR cheat showed how capable it was (well done, darling). But we both looked at each other and said "April??" So this was one of the earlier film recordings, I presume the Loch Ness tent was one of the later "studio" locations. Hopefully the location shoots maintain integrity and the tent clips continue to improve...

Thus completely for me.
A head and shoulders improvement over the past 10 weeks.

I thought that was good. It was probably the best so far, but very TG.

There's been a few statements of how the show isn't aiming for petrolheads. Strange that Jeremy assumes that all the studio crowd would be.
