Thing is, the Celebrity Brain Crash skit last, on average 1m 30s.

Does it really matter, it's not stealing time from the rest of the show, and it's not 10 minutes like SIARPC used to linger on for.

Just have a giggle at it and enjoy the rest of the show, or tap the FFWD button a couple of times to skip past it.
I just don't understand why they do it. Once, and the joke is told. More than that is repetitive and smacks of laziness.

I think it was Richaed Hammonds own porsche. new clutch needed after that!?
Yes it was. No new clutch needed, could you really not tell that that a launch start was dubbed over the top every time it did the supposed launch start?!?

It did seem a little slow off the mark, and not one bystander looked round either. But it was still quite amusing nonetheless. smile

Am i the only one who actually likes the American? smile

He has some nice "dry" wit/humour, just like myself.

Also don't mind brain crash, you have to treat it as a game of "how will he die"
Although the "is he not coming on then" is a little tiresome....

What's with 3...2...1..."begin"?

Does the BBC not allow them to say "go"?

GT are (allegedly) not allowed to have "good" celebrity segments (interviews), for TG-copycat legal reasons. So they have, instead, created a "bad" celebrity segment (fake death). TG obviously want / need slebs for marketing purposes (they attract non-car viewers), but cannot pinch BBC-owned ideas. Agreed, the CBC is lame, but their options are very limited.

I was always under the impression that the celeb bit on old TG was forced upon them by the Beeb anyway. Otherwise, it's a hell of a coincidence that every celeb had something to plug when they came on. It was evident that some of them wouldn't have been chosen by the TG production team if they'd had control.

The strange thing about this episode is that it was filmed in April

In fact some of the teaser stuff on YT was obviously filmed in that quarry
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wf82S_2GiJE

But that it was by far the best episode. So it's not like they suddenly "clicked" on to what worked all of a sudden. It was there all along, but they didn't do it in the latter filmed episodes.

Anyway, good episode.
Lexus wasn't a great review, classic "list faults then say actually it's brilliant" but the exploding animals made me smile. Id be looking at E63 AMG or M5 though

Funny that JC slagged Jag owners. this morning I drove to work and saw a F-Pace driven by a balding guy who resolutely drove for miles in the middle lane. ! laugh

I quite want a X5M though. Better looking that all the others IMO.

The continuity leaves a bit to be desired. The hamster stuffed the offside of the Jag in the quarry warm up laps but there wasn't a mark on it later

Yes, but for the "live" audience, it'll be a first time thing (or maybe second). Doesn't translate to the telly well though, you're right.

Fair point. Let's see if it makes it into series 2, when everyone has seen it at least once already.

Definitely the best episode so far. I watched the whole thing without fast forwarding any of it.

Me too and that was the first time since the first episode.

The ones in between have been fairly dire in my opinion. I have no desire to watch any of them again and that's the opposite of top gear where I must have seen every episode multiples of times.

How many episodes are there? I thought it was 12 so this would be the end of the series.

Good episode, ugly Bentley.
