The original Mummy was very good and even looks good today, so I'm not sure why they feel the need to remake it. They could have just called it something different. Of course it'll never be as good without Rachel Weisz

The original Mummy was back in the 30's with a certain Boris Karloff. I must admit, the aforementioned Ms. Weiss, is a welcome addition to any thread.

Love the Weisz one, shame the sequels were so appalling.
