Detectorists back on Netfix Season 2

I really enjoyed the Decectorists Season 1 which I found by accident on Netflix, I loved the gentle humour and the character played by Mackenzie Crook. So I am pleased that at last season 2 starts from Wednesday.
Thoroughly recommended.

Agreed, Detectorists was just lovely. I believe I already watched Season 2 on BBC 4 and also a Christmas Special. I understand that a Season 3 is in progress.

I have started watching this second season now, brilliant just as good as the first, laugh out loud funny ( to me anyway!)
My wife said that the gorgeous Becky played by Rachael Stirling looked just like Diana Rigg, and of course she does. I just looked her up and she is Diana Riggs daughter, Andy is punching above his weight there!

Is it? My understanding was that he'd (Crook) not made up his mind yet about another series, and that if it were to go ahead they'd only be filming in summer - so that puts us at filming in Summer '17 at the earliest for filming for maybe a 2018 airing?

I really hope they do one more though. Such a great show.

I watched a bit more last night only to notice that Diana Rigg actually appears in a cameo role as Beckys mother!
I love the parts of Simon and Garfunkel.....
