I'm talking the "big stuff", I'm sure there's plenty of smaller less well known films I've missed that were good but I feel like it's been a really sure year for the big blockbusters, am I wrong? I've been catching up on some stuff i missed recently.
Civil War was good if a little paint by Marvel numbers.
Liked Deadpool a lot.
Was pleasantly suprised by Star Trek Beyond.
Everything else was tosh!
BvS was a mess
ID:Resurgence was like a bad B-movie remake
Suicide Squad was a good movie chopped to pieces in the edit
Seen bits of Ghostbusters, none of them good
Started X-Men Apocalypse and gave up after 1/2 hour
Bourne was a boring rehashed cash in.
What else did I miss?
And will 2017 be any better?
Maybe you're just bored of Super Hero films, I know I am, I was bored to death of them 5+ years ago. Civil War was good if a little paint by Marvel numbers.

At first it was a rough old time being a film lover who is turned off by about 70% of all 'Blockbusters' because they invariably include some tit in tights.
Deadpool was a sort of break from that, saw it once, laughed at the silly humour, enjoyed it - watched it a second time at home, really once you've heard the punchlines the rest of it is just the same as all the others, nonsense. Mass Murderer seeks moral high ground. Watched Suicide Squad on the strength of a great trailer, but it was crap.
So I stopped choosing films based on how 'big' they were.
Highlights for me:
Hell or High Water.
Grimsby
Sully
Hateful 8
Magnificent 7
The Big Short
Creed
Rogue One
I haven't seen Arrvial yet, I hope it comes to iTunes soon.

You obviously enjoyed it. wow
My surprise was not at you enjoying Arrival (I did but tastes differ), more that you enjoyed Ghostbusters - didn't know tastes differ that much! You obviously enjoyed it. wow
