pace has slowed a little but no I am thoroughly enjoying still, the duel scene twist was clever, and I am never quite sure what will happen next, would be happy if they dropped the mystical bks angle though
I agree that the duel scene was the best part, but we already knew the Company was desperate to keep him alive...M

What if the gun was loaded properly. Mr D was shot. But Mr D, is immortal and heals fast. It's possible the guy ran thinking he'd been stitched up somehow, and correctly assuming he was going to get shot. Not because he was a "company man".

Then it's even more twaddle than I feared! What if the gun was loaded properly. Mr D was shot. But Mr D, is immortal and heals fast. It's possible the guy ran thinking he'd been stitched up somehow, and correctly assuming he was going to get shot. Not because he was a "company man".

ah yes, exactly the sort of mystical bks angle I hope they drop soon What if the gun was loaded properly. Mr D was shot. But Mr D, is immortal and heals fast. It's possible the guy ran thinking he'd been stitched up somehow, and correctly assuming he was going to get shot. Not because he was a "company man".

I'm not convinced he was shot and recovered.
But he did point out later that he was immune to cholera...
Nor am I unless his shirt is also immortal and/or heals fast... But he did point out later that he was immune to cholera...

Unfortunately, as most of the dialogue is mumbled, it's bloody difficult to pick up on nuances!!!

His next line was something like "clearly my life is more important than yours, hence the company didn't load you a bullet"

Well, if you buy into the immortality plot, then he might have said that to explain away the non-effect of the ball.Unfortunately, as most of the dialogue is mumbled, it's bloody difficult to pick up on nuances!!!
Personally, I think the simple explanation is much more likely!
