Tell them that the benefits office has moved to Berlin. Nothing would stop them.

I have to do mine this week too... frown

BTW that Jag is fake if the year of manufacture is accurate : - 1984. It doesn't look quite Kosher either but perhaps that's a faulty mental image. Am I allowed to use that word?

I think the vast majority here are being overly cynical and the same would happen again.

The older generation always think little of the younger. It's a theme as old as the hills.

Why pretend their weren't oiks in the 30s as well!

And OP - I disagree its petty. The film went out unedited. I think you are over-reacting.

Ha. I always seem to leave it late. Better now than at the end of the month when their servers melt though.

...oh, and it won't be German, but Ruski we'd be needing wink Unless the Spaniards try again, that is!

What if he word was .

What if it was - and that was totally artistically justified, would you accept that on the radio in the afternoon?

IMHO - In the Dambusters the context makes it fine. Some people may get sniffy and that is covered by a warning. That way everyone is happy.

On Radio 2 in the afternoon who the fk can be bothered with the fuss? If you want to make some sort of political point about it be my guest.

I think Jackson ran out of money to a certain extent, then the Hobbit got in the way.

(Producer) Sir David Frost passing away in 2013 didn't help, he had bought the rights to the film in 2006 and it was he who got Peter Jackson on board to make it.

Work was to start as soon as the Hobbit trilogy was finished.

Peter Jackson interview said:
“The Hobbit wasn’t something I intended to get involved in as much as I did, but as things ended up, Dambusters has had to sit on the sidelines. But we have got 10 Lancs ready to go as soon as we can.”

Don't see the problem.

They warned, for those who would be offended.

The film has gone out unedited for all your benefit.

Everyone wins

(There is a certain irony in being offended by a warning of offensive language though)

C5 has butchered both Ghostbusters and Scrooged for the past few years, Dirty Dozen always gets that clip clipped too.

Sure, cuz we're all animal lovers here wink

Seriously though, I think about the 600 Germans and 1000 mostly Soviet labourers killed versus our 53 lost.

What the film really needed was some ME-108 Taifuns' shooting up RAF Scampton a couple of days before the raid... wink

RAF Hemswell substituted for Scampton in the film. Many of the buildings are still there, several are now used as antiques centres and could be seen on Bargain Hunt today.
