To those people stating that things are staged, faked, scripted, etc.....

WAKE UP it's a fekin tv show for funks sake. Apart from a few comedy shows all TV is highly scripted. Even most comedy shows are scripted. HIGNFY Is highly scripted. It's mostly read of auto queue. What on earth do you think a TV show is if not scripted?

I've been to several recordings of the old TG with The old guys, and once you've watched the same gag being reshot half a dozen times and having been told to laugh it would get more than boring.

That's not what's being argued here.

The BBC seem to be using the same people to write the scripts as they did with Clarkson etc., but it just doesn't work with the new team.

They need to get away from the old scripting and find something new for this lot, or it looks like a cheap foreign licensed version of TG.

Doesn't help that Le Blanc has one character which hasn't changed in over 20 years and that Harris and Rory are just car anoraks who've lucked into a telly job.

Solid, enjoyable episode. I think Matt LeBlanc shows that an actor delivers a script better than Clarkson et al.

I though this was getting better, enjoyed the first one but this was pretty bad.
Aston piece started well but got the big book of bond cliches out and went downhill and lasted way too long. The celeb bit felt very forced especially when the talked about the Alpine. not sure what the golf piece was supposed to prove but it was hard work. The muck spreader bit was a waste of time.
The 124 bit was ok and it's always nicely filmed.

I really enjoyed it.

The Ring, DB11 and fiat bits were all good. Celebrity bit is crap though

Reasonably enjoyable, I like watching MLB out of the studio but like others have said the Tamsin bit was poor (even though I think she is super-yum) and the muck spreader bit was rubbish.

Where have all the audience honeys gone?
Err... the blonde in glasses? Red hospital wristband?
When I was in ther audience for the tom cruise episode, there were staff members who wondered around looking for "girls" in "floaty dresses" who they would invite to the front. It was a bit creepy, so hopefully they have stopped this...

Anyhow, loved this episode. I think some still want them to be clarkson, may etc and they are not.

Clearly you weren't a girl in a floaty dress.

It was a shame to destroy a Volvo. A Renault or Vauxhall would have been fine.

Enjoyed tonight's show. The Aston/Merc intro was bordering on silly but made me smile. Had to actually pause for a minute to try to remember what car the Aston was being compared with, which kind of answers the debate they were having about which was best! I think I'd feel short changed if I paid £130k for a Merc whereas £150k for an Aston feels fine. The Golf was totally pointless. Not practical enough to be a daily driver but not special enough to be a weekend only car. £34k split between a second hand sensible Golf for daily driving and an Elise for weekends (both second hand, of course) would make far more sense. Does Chris really get that angry with his students?

Two New Gen TG episodes in, and they've easily surpassed TGT in genuine car related TV reportage/chat/arsing about. Enjoyed that. 'Er indoors liked it too.

Getting better week on week. Good filming, funny where it should be and all the car bits were decent. Looking forward to the Chiron next week. Think it's great with this, TGT and all the different Youtube car shows there are we've never had so much choice when it comes to car content.

The ones who say they'll stop watching or call it rubbish I guess we'll see you here next week smile
