Err, everyone knows you can get the golf club sport with the back seat back in don't they?

Great episode for me. I've done XXXX+ laps of the ring and even I enjoyed the film. It's an entertainment show.
But is that the Clubsport S if it has the rear seats, or just the usual Clubsport?

Really enjoyed this yet again, though the celebrity bit dragged out too long. I'm guessing the BBC really wanted to plug Episodes.

I was in the audience and they recorded hours of stuff with Tamsin Greig that was cut.

A little unpolished in parts but its getting there. To be honest I'm enjoying the new TG way more than what's on Amazon.

Felt the AM/ MB was excellent till the police car chases bit

The SIARFC segment was a rather strained.

Felt the Golf CS Ring but was a bit rush (glad they made the point about driver factor)

But did I enjoy it? Oh yes. Liking the new TG and decent TV entertainment for a Sunday evening.

It's starting to show great potential.
MLB is genuinely very good and was from the outset of his first season on TG.
Harris the BBC seems to be making look like an idiot, which he clearly isn't.
Reid reminds me of Jason Dawe.

I turned TG off for the first time ever last night. I enjoyed the first show, but it's been a law of diminishing returns for me since. The part I hated most during the Clarkson years has been extended (SIARPC), the Aston segment was ok until the awful police chase and the fiat bit was ok and nicely shot (I went back for the last few minutes and caught this). The segment that killed it for me was the utterly dreadful 'Ring' lap. Aside from the seen it all beforeness of it, the crazed screaming of What's his name and the Kraut as they 'overtook' faster metal was ear splittingly cringeworthy. Thoughts inevitably went to the Clarkson and the laps in the S-Type as he attempted to crack the 9 minute(?) mark. Beautifully shot and loaded with tension and excitement - everything last night wasn't. I'm still giving it a go, but I am becoming less and less interested. I hope it improves because I need Top Gear in my Sunday night life.

Still playing it safe, but so far there have been no bad episodes for my money. With the old guard, we'd have had some brilliant episodes, and some real st by now. The newer stuff is less groundbreaking, but at the same time, it's consistently good.

Laughed out loud quite a few times. Harris in the villan suit - brilliant!

Good Sunday night TV for car fans, just worried that the because it's less entertainment-based than it used to be (which is what a lot of car fans moaned about) it'll be much lower-rated, and the plug will be pulled by the bigwigs.

But from me so far, enjoying it. Thumbs up!

Apart from the bit where Harris said a Citroen AX was unreliable. He's talking ste, they're brilliant. I'm selling a GT version, incidentally.....

ETA: Also, the ring thing was a bit pants.

Missus turned it on last night and I half watched the program, what a complete pile of dung,

Le blanc or what ever his name is has Zero Personality, the other two both get thumbs down from me also.
that crap about passing all those cars on the ring rolleyes Many people want to experience the ring without smashing up their cars, when you have a race driver who grew up on the circuit drive a car that is not their own, they thrash the life out of the thing. In the end it comes down to the Driver, Not the cars.
Expect some chump to now say "Yea it beats a 911 and a lambo round the ring" at the next supermarket evening car park meet rolleyes Sad. And as for that so called Celebrity....Who? Hope the kids enjoyed the car being smashed up in the spreader banghead
Utter Rubbish.

So many of the muppets who now claim this is staged (errr yeah its called TV) have only just realized that now? Clarkson and the other 2 invented the staged Top Gear we now find our selves with.
At least i can bare to watch it now the other three have gone.
I'm sure if Rory and Chris are there as long as Hammond and May they will become a mere caricature of themselves as well, but till then i'm liking it for the opposite reason many are hating it... I like it without the other 3.

Just watched it and I quite enjoyed it but it's not very "special" anymore is it?
Might watch the next one but if I don't , meh.

I enjoyed last nights episode, for the first time I wasn't making comparison or judgement with the Evans TG or the Clarkson/May/Hammond TG, it stood up on its own for me. Call it something other than TG (to drop that last bit of associative baggage, it doesn't need it IMO) and it would be even better.

Incidentally, any body language experts want to comment on Tamsin Greig's reaction when MLB patted / grabbed her on the knee? Awks.

Enjoyed it again, really like MLB's style of reviewing cars and enjoy him with Harris. Plenty of casual humour.

The other guy seems a bit pointless as is and don't like the long guest part. Bring back the News and Cool Wall.

It misses the anti-establishment humour it had before as they're all too nice now so not going to get into trouble with the Mirror or Daily Mail but 'off-message' banter isn't welcome I guess.

That said I think it's nicely warming up, one of my most favourite car programmes.

Probably just an in-joke between them.

I actually quite like Rory Reid, a bit shouty last night but if those clips are taken from Sabine taking him on a proper balls out hot lap which they more then likely are then it's understandable... Aside from that his reviews have been good both last series and this series. It's a shame they only put the Fiesta ST200 review in Extra Gear last night, for a certain age range there's a lot of good memories bought up in it. Granted a lot on here will just think it's all chav and unnecessary but oh well.

I thought it was a good episode, and its shaping up to be a good series.

I have to smile on some of the comments here that "only watched half the episode" or "turned it off after 10 mins" and suchlike.....yet they can be bothered to make comments about it on PH.

Hmm....doesn't quite stack up!

Not as awkward as Rory's reaction to be called a 'fat oaf' (I think that's what Sabine said anyway), the comment just seem to come right out of the blue, there had been no 'banter' before it and it clearly caught Rory very much off guard.
I'm surprised they didn't edit it out.

Love these classic PH posts which pretend theyre so cool that they don't know who the celebrities are :-)

Are you saying you don't really know Matt Le Blanc's name and you have no idea who Tamsin Greig is?
