If it took Honda 20 years to make that jet will it take them the same time to make a good F1 engine?

Normally I'm a detractor of new TG. However, I thought that episode was jolly good.

Hats off to them all

Well I enjoyed that, I faded in parts especially at Tinnie Tempah. Still keeping my subscription to Amazon though.

No points for Tiny Temper... Honestly, who buys that dog st?

But maximum points for the rest. Really good show, especially the Chiron and the race. Though the bike review....Wasn't, was it? Not really. Nice to see them doing bikes though. I think Hammond would be secretly wishing old TG did that.

I have to say, i think Sabine needs the chop. For me, utterly unwatchable. Epic driver, but like the stig, needs to be silent.

Not too bad an hour's entertainment although I did find the Twingo Pac Man went on for a bit too long. The scenery in Oman was quite stunning as well.

Yes, better tonight (apart from the Pacman bit).

I thought the Chiron looks amazing and it was nice to see Harris hammering it a bit and attempting to drift it. Both Bike and boat were also stunning.

I really loved the overhead shots (perfect set-up and lighting) of the pacman bit but the whole segment didn't quite work for me.

Best episode of the series for me. Nothing to not like, even the SIARP was good and I have no love for his music. Liked the mental numbers of the Chiron, liked the Twingo and car Pac Man, liked TT's slippery lap and liked the race through Dubai/Oman.

If they keep this up then I'm sure all the fuss about CMH leaving will turn out to be a lot of fuss about nothing. Can't wait for next week's episode now.

That was an enjoyable episode. Rather like the Chiron (even in that colour scheme). Nice to see Matt on a bike too.

Did the driver's side rear wheel on the GT86 look like it was tucked back in the arch to anyone else though (towards the rear bumper)? Looked like the suspension was buggered.

I really enjoyed that. The best episode of TG for ages. Let's hope we end up with two good car shows eventually!

TBH what I saw I liked. The PAC man thing had hints of vbh/Plato/Tiff but was too long.

Not a bad show, I especially liked the Chiron stuff. The celebrity stuff dragged as usual, though as I watched it live tonight I sat through it. I thought the pacman piece was a bit 'for the kids', like the police chase last week. The only real point of the so called race was to get some good footage of some nice motors, to the end is was pretty decent.

Celeb stuff and dare I say Harris & Rory's studio dialog is still pretty wooden but the Bugatti feature was good, some of the Twingo stuff was good and the Oman scenery was excellent.
I think Matt Le Blanc deserves a bit of praise. He's a pretty reasonable presenter..

Another good show.
Love the Twingo – in about 10 years when they are rusty and down to £300 I will buy one.

Without Le Blanc it would be an unremitting disaster.

Chris and Rory are more wooden than an oak furniture land advert.

Whilst the twingo is a car I would like, the pacman thing was utter bks. The Chiron pieces are good and I enjoyed seeing a bike on top gear, that said Hammond rode the Vincent Black Shadow in the train Vs car Vs bike race so it's hardly breaking new ground.

For me get rid of Rory and Chris and try to find two more petrol head people who have a personality or at least are relaxed in front of a of a camera and will be very good indeed.

For the first time I watched much of it on x30. Not impressed with what I'm seeing.

Yes, worst of the series so far for me. Everything was a pastiche of what had previously been done before, and the Man-Pac was cringeworthy.
Did have a couple of chuckles towards the end though.
