Terry Pratchett in his own words. Funny, poignant, liable to induce tears.

I am thankful this man existed and wrote such wonderful books.

Watched this. Denis Penis was rather good, the voice especially.
Highly recommended by the Noisy audience.

That was rather sad -- good but such a cruel end for someone who was so wrapped up in words.

I grew up with his books.

I'm with Val Mc Dermid.

Still can't bring myself to read his last book somehow. (Shepherds Crown)

RIP Terry

A really good programme. Great mixture of biography, reflection on his books and insight into his health towards the end.

what I always loved and will continue to love about his books is the crooked perspective of our world he wound into the stories. But his fight with his condition has also been important to me, not least as I have my own 'embuggerance' to deal with, which thankfully, hopefully, won't close in on me in the near future, but facing DEATH is not quite so scary if you remember Binky!

The books at least mean we can revisit the escapism and thoughtfully wonky worlds for years to come.

Finally plucked up the courage to see this.

Impressed by Paul Kaye, so sad Pratchett wasn't able to complete more of his own biography. All in all a good tribute to a unique and delightful author. Just the right combination of laughs and sadness.

Watched this at my desk (joys of your own business).

Brought a tear to the eye at the end, especially Neil Gaiman getting bit upset frown.

Was very good though and a fitting tribute show. Must read Mort again now.

Paul's performance was staggering, spot on, on the accent.

Do it, it'll be therapeutic and it's a bloody good read. You can always re-read DW books too, I listened to an audiobook (not usually my thing) for Fifth Elephant the other day and it was great re-learning the plot.

back to OP, program was excellent, Paul Kaye was excellent.

Watched this the other night. Very well done, and agree Gaiman losing it a bit in the restaurant was where my lounge started to get a bit dusty.

Definitively give the Shepherds Crown a go, I think it was very well and deals with some really relevant stuff.

I watched Gaiman's talk from the Pratchet Memorial night, that was very good too. I don't know if the whole event is available anywhere.
