Struggling to see what this tale has to do with 'this moment in time'?

But it does look like it might be quite decent.

I haven't read that before - interesting.

The supposition that Hitler wouldn't divert Luftwaffe resources from London is an interesting one - arguably in character but he had never seen the specific circumstances before - so would his character be that predictable?

I know that 9pm on a Sunday is an obvious slot for this but just seems a bit cynical that it will normally be running against Homeland and they just happen to be starting on the week when Homeland won't be on.

Be interesting to see how much drop off or switch to iPlayer there is for ep2.

I'm more likely to watch this and record Homeland, so that I can skip through the adverts.

...and Carrie's inevitable "face like a melted wellie" crying episodes!

Back OT, I really hope this is more like Fatherland and less 'Allo Allo smile

Is it just me or is the lead guy in SS-GB a bit "muttery" - finding it quite difficult to hear him sometimes.

Not one you, in general the audio is pretty shocking for a BBC production.

Is it a BBC production thing or a Len Deighton book thing though?

Jaguar was an SS cars model name in 1936

"They say he took out a Panzer with a tyre iron. He's only got one arm."

Well, Love, it kind of sounds like the Panzer took him out then, doesn't it?

Was it? I was always told that William Lyons requested that a bunch or words were written down when they decided to rename the cars.

And in a list of animals, Jaguar just 'popped' - for want of a better word.

Is that apocryphal?

It is.

Did the constable in the phone box have the phone the wrong way round, the cable appeared to be coming from the ear piece end?

Edited to add, I just checked iplayer. It was a hook for the phone.

Agreed about the sound being up and down, nearly wore the batteries out in the remote!

My other half said "don't start" when I groaned at the Mk IX spitfire in the opening piece smile

I'll keep it on series link in case it gets good, but based on that, I'm out.

I remember really loving the novel back in the day when I read it many many years ago
