I liked having the option of watching the news on ITV+1 at 11 o'clock. Now it's 11:30 it's too late to catch up.

If only there were 24hr News channels where one could watch the news at any time of the day.

It must be over a decade since I last watched a "News at [insert time of day]" programme on the main terrestrial channels.

Noted but then have you tried to do it? "What's on the news? Ho, it's 11:33, not point in looking until noon then." then you forget at noon and it's 12:14 when you realise.

Forget that, 24 hour news is for very lonely people, and those who have to have something in English to watch when staying in the Bulkan Hilton.

For most of us it has been ingrained that the news id on at 1pm and 10pm. Occasional changed due to kick ball displays and so on permitting.

24 hour news has even less relevance to day thanks to the wonder of the internet.

I shouldn't really comment as I haven't watched it, but there again I have no intention of doing so. Do people not have anything to do with their own lives that they have to watch other people talking drivel just to fill in some time?

Hold on, I think you just broke my irony meter.

Walliams reported to be getting £250k for 5 shows in a week. Unspeakable waste of money.

They'd only spend it on Ant and Dec otherwise...

If it carries on the same way as this, they'll either put it on after the News or just cancel it in a couple of weeks.

Blame ITV's Peter Davey (came up with I'm a Celebrity..Get Me Out Of Here!) and Katie Taylor (Chris Evans Top Gear Disaster and Strictly). They are responsible for it.

At some point the advertisers will force itv to pull the plug. I hope it happens sooner rather than later! furious

The nearest they've ever got was 'Wogan' in the '80s and that was an early evening slot rather than at the end of the evening like the American shows.
Wogan was good but Parkinson was the master.

rage God help us!! Who actually finds John Bishop even the slightest bit amusing (apart from the TV recruitment executives)? I find him one of the poorest of the low-level Z list 'comedians', on a par with Lenny Henry et al. Really strange itv seem to be shooting themselves in the foot in this way.

Well done, I last only 7 minutes to prove to myself I wasn't being unduly swayed by other's opinions.

He did a series of one-on-one celebrity interviews for one of the UKTV channels last year and have to admit they were pretty good, he made a better 'serious' interviewer than comedian in my opinion.

This could also be that I miss that hour long format of interviewing one person though...

On Dave I think - they are running trailers at the moment; I'm not sure if it's for repeats or a new series.

I was going to watch it but the Sky box froze and refused to start working again until after it had finished.

I think it was trying to tell me something....

(no Freeview as geriatric TV with great picture quality)

They have commissioned a new series so might be new ones.

I watched it in full this evening, but only beucase I'm at my parents house tonight and they've recently cancelled every form of TV package that is possible to cancel and are left with basically channels 1-5. It's like being 10 years old again.

It was awful if I'm honest.

Dreadful 'jokes' by Walliams, a completely unfunny sketch about Bake Off which just involved Walliams dressed as Mary Berry and stuffing cakes in his face (he really will do ANYTHING to dress up as a woman won't he?), then the cast of The Voice appeared and Tom Jones and Will.I.Am bored everyone to death awkwardly without letting anyone else speak, and then John Bishop appeared and basically said he pretty much knew everyone thought the programme was ste, but that ITV should be applauded for trying....

Crap.
