I have no idea why, but I watched it in full last night. I suppose it's just the convenient time that it's on. I guess I also watched it out of morbid curiosity to see what John Bishop was like.

I don't generally like John Bishop because, as someone said earlier in the thread, he's just a 'professional scouser'. Getting paid to simply be a Liverpudlian.

But he was a little better than Walliams (I can only speak for this Tuesday night episode).

It was still pretty bad. The guests were Martin Kemp and a dog trainer lady.

Martin Kemp for fk sake. He's pretty much done nothing for 20 years apart from talk about himself on chat shows, and here he was yet again.

The the dog training bit was just an awful piece of car-crash TV.

And that was it.

You do realise by watching it last night you've probably doubled the viewing figures, meaning it will survive another week...

Well, Mel & Sue have bailed out.

Apparently, their schedule has suddenly become too busy.

But they wish the show "all the best" laugh

The Gogglebox reviews told me all I needed to know. And they probably chose the least scathing ones to broadcast.

Is it inevitable that the UK will have to accept a nightly US style show? Like accepting Oreos are a type of biscuit you'd buy by choice?

Well done them.

They should draft in Paul Hollywood from the subs bench.

The trailers were enough to make me avoid this garbage. The North American market can't seem to get enough of this format. The only winners are the presenters bank accounts.

But this is not even close to being like the American version. It's horribly parochial.

Davina next week, so surely that's bound to kill it off.

Monday's ratings so far (bearing in mind it follows Broadchurch, so should pick up quite a few viewers from that):

David Walliams - 2.9m
John Bishop - 2.4m
Davina McCall - 1.8m

Not looking good.

Have ITV forgotten she had a chat show once called 'Davina' and killed that off in only 8 episodes.

A highlight from her show. *NSFW - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SxYc57s5FX8

  • Piers Morgan content.

Would love a go on Davina. But, dear God, the show just gets worse. Please, let it stop.

Last night's was the lowest audience so far - just 1m. That's half the number of viewers they would have got on average for the News when it was on in the same slot.

How low can Davina go? scratchchin

I'm surprised someone hasn't started one of those Government petitions to get it canned biggrin

Apart from Line of Duty, she played Paula in The Replacement, which has been on the last 3 weeks.

I watched the first episode of that but couldnt get my head round why someone going on maternity leave got all worked up about her replacement getting stuck in to the job?

Am probably missing the point by a wide margin but it just seemed a bit odd to me...
