New series starting shortly on Dave, looks like a load of made up drama crap. I will watch it once to make sure but it looks honking.

One of the 2 dealerships has since closed up since filming. No longer trading.

Adverts looked pretty awful.

Sounds like that was a fake 'pop-up' dealership to enable them to create the show in that case.

It seems that it closed down due to a few reasons. 77 complaints from trading standards due to less than acceptable behaviour on sales, warranties etc.
Fraudulent acceptance of customer credit signing.
Debts of 100ks as a result of above.
the local reviews seem less then glowing,

Geoff Cox is local to me, I always thought they were a good outfit with a good reputation, folks around here swear by them. I guess the location is at least real.

Can't believe those sales guys were real, but looking at the website it would appear so. It's like the motor trade.....30 years ago.

These guys just look like actors, bad ones at that, especially the 2 that lost. It's pretty terrible all in all.

Standards have obviously dropped since I last ran a dealership, they're like eighties spivs.

I saw the trailers for this.

I could see it was going to be terrible.

I thus didn't watch.

The bit in the trail that had me avoiding this like a Chris Evans episode of Top Gear was when the salesman commented "So this is German quality" and the not-at-all clichéd "customer" played by a bit-part actor more used to shopping channels or adverts replies with over-the-top disgust "Jeeeerman?!"
I can only assume a lengthy string of "jokes" about the war, Bratwurst sausages, and grandad spending three years in Stalag Luft III followed.

We switched off when the young sales lad got into a car with a customer while eating a bag of Beef Monster Munchrolleyes

Sounds like we didn't miss much with the remainder of it.

Watched the first 2 recently, love it how simple life is for non petrol heads..visit forecourt / like car / drive car / don't haggle much on price and BANG they buy...

Compared to petrol-heads who will likely scour all the owners clubs for many days looking for known issues/ colour/engine/specs available, check eBay at every opportunity in the day and view a handful of cars before deciding on one. That's after turning up to a viewing with a checklist as long as their arm of issues / things to check ... then willing to walk away if the price isnt right... or is that just me :-)

Very cringeworthy but easy to watch TV..couldn't believe the price that 172 went for - madness!!!

I guess that's why there's so many threads on here about poor experiences when buying a car. Salesmen can't be bothered with a customer who might have their witts about them when someone such as those described above will be along shortly.
