I skipped through 140mins of what looked like utter rubbish to watch the love actually sketch. I thought it was quite good. Rowan Atkinson hasn't changed in 13 years! Ill find the People just do nothing on the interweb tomorrow. There are a lot of very unfunny 'comedians' around at the moment
Lenny Henry wearing well too. Looks years younger without the beard. Painfully unfunny comedian but rate him as an actor.

Two dreadful conditions to be suffering from, wouldn't wish it on anyone. In the past Billy wasn't shy about making a cheap joke about some poor hostage held by IS with the prospect of having his head cut off and Billy implied they should just get on with it.... which they did. Perhaps Karma is a bh after all?

Had a look at some of the show and it's just woeful, the usual small bunch of millionaire celebrities giving their time for nothing (thanks so much, what heroes!) regurgitating their past successes but in an unfunny way. I can't believe how old most of them look, especially Hugh Grant! I agree Lenny Henry's face cream is working well.

What the fk is this elephant leopard comedian opera thing?!

Kurupt FM x Ed Sheeran was the funniest bit of the night for me, also a massive shame to see Billy Connolly looking worse for wear frown I've previously met him in Scotland where he was living, and he is a genuinely lovely guy, massive respect for the what he has done for comic relief over the years!

Well if these are the bright young things of British comedy, then the future is bleak (maybe give the last guy the benefit of the doubt).... or maybe I'm getting old and look back at the old days of standup with rose tinted glasses.

Stunning quantity of cash raised though.

We gave up before 10pm. It was crass, crude and unfunny. O/H was shocked at some of the things that went out before the watershed and so were several other women (mothers) she spoke with this morning.

ETA: we're weren't alone, far from it, it seems

Nothing special this year. I set my box to record until 10pm just to see the Love Actually sketch, and it switched itself off at 9.45pm, presumably just before it came on. Oh well. I get that they need to "update" the presenting team rather than just using the same people over and over, but I'd never heard of the woman in the see-through top, or the other guy that did Innuendo Bingo. I really enjoy that feature when it's on the radio, but it really didn't go at all well, from the sound problems at the start and the lack of even trying to hold the water in while the clips were played. I've just watched the Greg Davies hot tub thing, and that wasn't much good either, just him being angry at some random "celebs".

I watched some of it but turned off shortly after Reeves and Mortimer started their bit. I don't want to see/listen to smut...and the show seemed to be full of it.
The James Corden sing along with Take That was the only part I enjoyed.

Well, I've just seen the Love Actually catch-up on the highlights programme on BBC1 just now, didn't miss all that much by the look of it.

I was hopeful the Love Actually sketch would be good as the original film is a favourite of ours, however I thought it was utterly unfunny, an embarrassment to the original.

This made me laugh, on Bookface, but I know a few apologists here will cry about it.

Let's face it if it was going to be anything amazing they would have just made a second film and lined their own pockets
