And for me! I would never buy any McCain product because of their intolerably sanctimonious ads. Neither would I buy Calgon because of the poor overdubbing and the gross hyperbole in the claims. Other rants are available on request.
Strangely, I've had my Beko washing machine for nearly 30 years now and have never had to use Calgon! Wonder how much I've saved on a total nonessential?I'd also point out it's never missed a beat but that would be tempting the gods of fate, wouldn't it. nothing to see here

Keep an eye out this weekend for the .Gov / National Highways advert encouraging people not to tailgate / follow the 2 second rule as it dropped on Friday.
God knows who came up with that and signed it off
And don’t forget hogging the middle lane too!God knows who came up with that and signed it off
As it is, it's just too weak, more of a mild recommendation than anything, making it still seem OK to be doing these things.

Probably the same source as the "Go Left" one a year or so back. God knows who came up with that and signed it off

This ad may have some benefit, in educating those people who still think motorway lanes are segregated by speed!!
Of think that lane 1 is for HGV only!!
But for those people who sit in the middle lane, what ever their motivation may be, on purpose. Nothing is going to alter their behaviour.

The new GWR advert, making out that driving to the beach is a lot slower than taking the train.
Cost wise (unless you get a bargain saver deal for kids etc) I can;t see it being cheaper to take the train depending on vehicle, my car @20mpg will cost approx £30 return between myself and 3 passengers, I doubt 4 rail tickets will be cheaper
Example- Warminster (my home) - Weymouth 54 miles according to google maps it is a 1hr 20- 1hr 30 drive, the train will take 2hr 20

Just don’t try it in Poole, the parking will cost more than the train. Doesn't make me want to smash my TV up or anything, but i do have a question - after years of Turkey being a very well known holiday resort, why are the latest tourist adverts urging us to visit Turkiye?
I think some are nervous of the current situation in the middle east & it’s affecting their tourist cashflow.Deranged Rover said:

Politics and the pricklier kind of nationalists who aren't happy that the English spelling/pronunciation of their country/city is different to how it is in their language. As you say it does make it harder to maintain the brand for tourists.

The Viking River Cruise ad - nothing wrong with the ad but the ever so posh “bint” just grinds my gears. It’s almost like they’re saying if you don’t talk like this, then they’re not for you.
Do you think they would reach their target market better with the bint from Omaze or On-The-Beach?Gassing Station | TV, Film, Video Streaming & Radio | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
