The Walking Dead Expanded Universe (SPOILERS)
Discussion
Last nights episode was one of the better ones for this final season and is setting things up for interesting and good ending...however, if they don't even address the helicopters seen by some characters and hinted at through out this show (other than when Polly and Rick were in one) I shall be pissed off!

It's diverged so much now from the comicbook in terms of who is alive/dead that really anything could happen.
Whatever does happen, you can guarantee it will take fking ages and be boring as hell. It’s been such a slog that I have started to dislike the majority of the characters just through seeing them so much so hopefully the lot of them will get nuked. Ash_ said:

The Commonwealth has working trains, why not helicopters!Spanna said:

The Commonwealth has working trains, why not helicopters!I did a bit of googling, the Helicopters belong to another much larger faction apparently, they're covered off in a bit more detail in Fear the Walking Dead and The World Beyond (apparently), but they've appeared in the main show, so should be addressed, all we know is Polly worked with the faction operating them and one took Rick away...call me Mr Picky, but the questions or things hinted at in this show, should be answered in this show.

I really can’t see it being paid off. Bear in mind that just one episode ago we were introduced to smart walkers that can open doors and climb FFS, it’ll probably never get mentioned again! Utter, utter garbage. The whole show disappeared up it’s own backside a few seasons ago, but I foolishly persevered. This has been an absolute waste of time. So much potential to go out on a high, instead we got a load of crying when people died for the first 15 minutes, as if nobody had ever died before and then a Hallmark Christmas film’s worth of hugs and dramatic farewells. Topped off with the pathetic cameos
This should be used as another example of how not to end a series that had potential.
I gave up on Fear The WD after a couple of all Spanish episodes and subtitles and have no intention of starting anything else in the franchise.
Yet more hours of my life that I’ll never get back.

It's almost a LOST-esque disappointment for me, and felt like all it did was lay the groundwork for the spin offs. The story itself should have been ended within the original show IMO.
I always thought that the end of TWD would reveal how far across the world the virus had spread and how people eventually overcame it. This was way off that! Beatr in mind I have no idea how the comics play out.

I agree with all the above comments and I have one major gripe which show runners should all do. If you tease something in a show, deal with it in that show, not in the spin offs. And yes, I'm talking helicopters again. Rick was taken in a helo, we've seen them in various episodes. FFS tell us what they're about, who's in them and as Rick survived what actually happened to him and where is he...ah, but then we wouldn't watch the spin offs. I don't care, they introduced the helo's, so deal with them.
Agree, it did go out with a whimper, the main death in the episode Rosita was dealt with quite well though I thought. The other ones Jules (who the fk is she and why should I care about her getting eaten) and Luke, he was hardly in it so not exactly a shocking loss were pretty pointless.
It should have ended with Daryl riding off in to the distance, without all the crap promoting the spin offs.
