I thought we'd got over this sort of release at different times rubbish. I assume they would rather have people pirate it than release to the 'wrong' streaming service.

I was trying to find a legal way to watch this, but it seems the problem is that no service in the UK has picked it up basically. They won't pay for it for their service, I would have thought it would be on Disney + or Prime, but not yet. I suspect they want to gauge its success in the US first before splashing the cash to get it.

Yet by then we would've all seen it. I'd much prefer to watch on one if the many legit services I pay for. It keeps track of where I am, gives me reminders, it's worth it. It really should just be released world wide on all services.

Looks ace. The evolution of the walkers looks interesting!
Sadly there's no evolution, the writers just forgot their roots. In the 1st ever episode a young dead girl stops to pick up a teddy bear and Morgan's dead wife turns a door knob to try to enter the house. In episode 2 a walker is banging a rock againt glass to get to Glens group. The dead also move faster, but probably due to being fresher meat.

I couldn’t gel with Dead City so have taken a break. The trailer for Daryl Dixons spin off has come out. Looks a bit more interesting being based in France.

More exciting (as a Rick fan) is The Ones Who Live

You can tell how good Dead City is by me forgetting to watch it for 2 weeks.
It's OK, Negan is good but not given enough to do, Maggie seems to have forgotten she forgave him because he saved her son. Lots of people doing stupid things.

The Daryl trailer looks good.

They messed up with this story, and having Maggie.

Should have been Negan and Judith. She finds out something about Rick, and they go looking.

Maggie is dull. The New York scenario is dull. It's just dull.

Hopefully Daryl's will be better.

The first episode of Daryl was good, with an interesting development.

Yup, enjoyed it. Being in Europe is a bit weird, but it's definitely got a medieval theme, I think.

Blows the Negan and Maggie show out of the water just on the first episode.

Agree, good first episode. I’m glad they also took into account that us sane europeans (and brits) dont have access to guns in the same way the yanks do thus reaulting in the use of spears and muskets

Currently watching episode 2.

Really like the 1600's-1800's vibe. Works really well.

Second episode also good.

What is it going on with making a series with 6 - 8 episodes? Just as it gets going they have to wrap it up, or like Negan, it just stops and you hope it's renewed.

I watched and enjoyed the first episode but isn't this just the plot of The Last of Us? Special kid needs carting off across the country but do it in France with Daryl.

I'll continue watching (finding a stream) for the other episodes as it certainly seems like it has the makings of a good show. I saw a clip from episode two showing some outbreak day footage in the perspective of Clemence Poesy, looked fantastic.

Yeah, I thought that as well. Seems to be a bit more meat to this series, though, despite really enjoying the series you mention.
Episode 3 just watched... another good one. Keeping the consistency.
