I guess if you can buy a 20K car and sink another 20k into you'll probably make money, I have no idea how much a Quattro sells for mind.

The "Dino" was a Toyota. The price on the Quattro was ridiculous

Indeed, I'd have told him to ......
Any other place would expect the car and any bits to be ready for collection and TBH if I was selling I'd be up early and waiting with all the paperwork and a cup of tea.

This was a much more interesting prog than last week though. The Minor Van, The MG looked lovely, not usually my cup of tea but such a well proportioned car. Paul was trundling around with a Landy on the truck but no mention. The guy with the Yamahas and a lot of other stuff - wow.

And yes, as above, the Quatro - next series of resto??

Yes, that YB looked stunning. They are surprisingly modern to drive but look fashionably dated and very well proportioned.
Did I catch that the owner's name was Arkley? I wondered if he had anything to do with those flip front kits for Midgets & Sprites.

+1 on the mental state of the Audi owner but I couldn't believe the amazing job he did in throwing together all those bits. How long did he say it took him? A week?

As he had to use a tractor to drag it out he could've done all of that before rather than waste Mathewson's time

I think they were named after the village where they were produced, near Barnet, North London.

Yes, the idea and product of John Britten.

Mathewsons must ask questions before arranging any collection, does it run,is it accessible etc etc and for a collection that's going to be filmed I'm sure a researcher will visit first ,the film crew won't just turn up on the day

Thank you, I should have known.

Quite clever to get the Quattro back in one piece though as it looked a damn sight better than if it'd gone though auction as a half stripped rusty shell and a box of bits! Did laugh when he said it was dry stored, seemed a likeable (but slightly mad) chap though.

Loved the MG too, gorgeous colour.

Didn't they say the owner had MS? In which case, how did he do it?

I did notice the Landy that Paul had on the back of the trailer with the MG, Austin Van and motorbikes. It looked like an ex Army Bomb Disposal Land Rover. They used to have red front wings if I recall.

Yes, I think the owner would have struggled to get that Quattro out and clear for pick up.

Quattro went for a lot considering they sold one on the road - albeit a Cat C car - for £14k in December, especially as the pictures of that one didn't really show any significant damage and I don't think it was mentioned in the video. I didn't think a Y-suffix car should have had the heated rear screen with "quattro" in it - I thought that came in later on, but it is a while since I've been looking.

Only just watched the latest episode on catch up.

MG was lovely, Austin Van was something different and I have never seen one before.

Quattro owner was barking, to have them turn up then say give me a week was a complete joke, for price it fetched has to be the latest resto project.

I am guessing fully restored it would around £40k but will be hanging underneath and parts are not easy to source.

That SM looked a right shed....surprised it sold for what it did.

Same with the E9 CSi.....which did turn out to be a shed laugh

Petty sure the CS buyer has been on B&C before, when he bought a shed of a Jag XJS and was going to buy a welder and do it up himself, and then later admitted he was in way over his head.....

The Fiat with 43 miles was as you would expect, in good condition.
