The bits about the minutiae of car detail, buttons, head rests, cup holders etc. are great because, well I generally agree and have relatable experiences.
This is probably the bit I enjoy the most.

If you'd told me I'd enjoy a podcast where people debated the merits of seat adjustment buttons, I'd have thought you were mad. But that stuff makes for great passive/background listening.
It does, and I never thought a bunch of strangers would find the noise of a 928 central locking button as satisfying as I always have!

I'm not remotely offended. I just think you're a bit lacking in class and emotional intelligence. There's a difference.

Imagine a grown adult trying to get a rise out of a stranger on the internet by calling them "grandad" without knowing how old they are. laugh
Likewise. Its a lot like not knowing someone's class and emotional intelligence by one passing comment on a forum. laugh

I'll tell you how I came to my conclusion, my parents friends are the only people I know to drive a Volvo XC40 hybrid. Hence the grandad comment. I imagine I'm not far off with my estimation.

Yep, you've nailed it. Nobody without grandchildren has ever bought a Volvo.

We'll add lacking in logical reasoning to the growing list. laugh

Far from it, old boy.

The average age of a Volvo driver is 54. With that in mind, it's a bit icy at the moment, so take it easy. I would hate for you to slip and break a hip. Or worse, make the chip on your shoulder worse.

It would seem your opinion is a pretty niche one, given the podcast charts. But full credit to you for bringing it, kicking and screaming with abusive language, to a thread that the presenters themselves read.

I'm sure they will cry themselves to sleep.
Probably just confirming CH`s view of PH laugh
Probably not as he said he liked Chris, just the others, of which I agree, nobody really likes criticism but how you use it is up to you, Chris would be unwise not to listen to criticism if he wants the show to evolve.

He certainly won’t learn from the blow smoke fanboys wink
I'm definitely not what you'd describe as a 'fanboy'. I tend to listen to them occasionally on long drives, I often miss episodes, and I find them mildly entertaining.

I'm just not so completely lacking in class and emotional intelligence as to come to a thread that the hosts read and call them "boring", a "load of sh*te" and say that they "need to be replaced".

Imagine a well-balanced adult behaving like that. laugh
Well, it could probably have been put better smile

But the point made is a valid one, something in its infancy like this will never get the cohesion between presenters correct first time, its a very difficult thing to get right but alongside content, the most important thing ‘to’ get right and something Chris will be looking at constantly to know if he’s got it right or not.

Some think its off, is it enough people? Does chris think it is? Who knows, opinions from those who dont gel with the show but like chris would certainly be something i’d want to hear, maybe he’s not like that though, who knows smile
There’s a lot of chat about Chris’s views as if they’re important? He’s just a presenter, only Edwards views matter.

If only Chris Cooper could have named the Van Halen LP correctly.

He said it with such conviction, but fell on his arse...

It's 1984 obvs.

Calling you out for being unpleasant and abusive isn't the same as having a chip on my shoulder.

I'd suggest doing a bit of reading up about idioms before you use them, save you looking silly again. laugh

Having recently listened to a few CC podcasts, I was surprised by a few things, in this order actually

1 - fk me, are they recording the audio on the cheapest of mics?
2 - The hosts (apart from Chris) are so boring
3 - There's on guy who talks so fking much, but doesn't actually say anything of interest (Chris or Neil)
4 - The line up needs to be replaced

What a massive load of ste the podcast is, and very disappointing.
I'm sure they'll all immediately resign and smash their inferior kit in a blind fit of rage.

When I've looked at and used the seat buttons in my SL, beautifully outlined in a gentle glow on the door and think that this is all they need to be, nothing more, nothing less, and then some bods on the internet with access to pretty much any car available in the whole world say the same, it's nice.
I don't look for much validation in life but knowing my judgement of seat controls is sound does wonders for my self esteem.

Been catching up with a few of these in recent days, I like the vibe of it. Interesting group of people, all with plenty of stories to tell, and they all have quite varied backgrounds which is a big plus point. Would happily chat cars with any of them!

Yes, perhaps it would benefit from some higher production values, but there's something rather nice about the simplicity of five guys just chatting into their laptops, whilst somebody tries to find the email on their phone where they've come up with a list of things to talk about.

Really enjoyed it too, some great insights into the Ferrari film me and my old man watched over xmas-we didn't recognise Marino in it either! I've said before Harris isn't the best interviewer and although he did slip into his usual talking over the guest and the sound mix made his voice louder than Marino's it wasn't too bad.

Quite enjoyable but I can't think of a worse track for these 2 cars than Llandow. Its tiny. Good fun in an Elise or Caterham but anything bigger with lots of power iots way too small.

Pity they couldn't have done this at Castle Combe.

I doubt I'd tune into the Ed Lovett podcast.
