I love how they just add character traits out of the blue.

Remember when Simon passed his driving test and got his license? No, neither does he. Is it any wonder he's reluctant to drive now everyone is suddenly asking him to?

Remember when Dee Dee found God, became devoutly religious and didn't believe in sex before marriage? You'd think that might have come up earlier in the 2+ years she's been around.

Or then you have Sarah, who ended it with Gary for being a wrong un only to torpedo her marriage with another wrong un.

Yes it's way too reactionary. Simon recently became an alcoholic overnight almost, literally in about a weeks worth of episodes.
To be fair to the writers the current "new" story of school bullying was well written/acted last week, being again a recent major news item, so corrie jumped on that bandwagon quite quickly.
Keep watching for an upcoming EV charger fire, Russian tank invasion or the appearance of an orange American gentleman buying up property and paying over the odds for it..

Mr Picky at your service - a few weeks ago Bethany received a message on her phone that she was £600+ overdrawn. Yet she continues to use her bank phone app to pay for purchases in the cafe or Rovers. I wish my bank was like that.

Didn't her Mum loan/gift her the funds to get it in order?

I reckon a Bethany/Sarah threesome is the way to go, wonder if a volunteer is needed for the third party?

This appears to be another example of me failing to remember something which was quite important. That's old age for you.

Indeed , I said ...

It was very amusing to see John Savident in a repeat of Yes Prime Minister as a very convincing and very posh Whitehall mandarin.

And he was in 633 Squadron too !

My bad. The only other things I can remember about either (awful) film was Mike Baldwin in 633 Squadron and Susannah York in Battle of Britain . Decades later I found myself sitting behind Ms York in a West End theatre and harbouring impure thoughts about WAAF uniforms.
