To be honest I would much rather DCI Swain had more screen time.

I mean to say, er, yeah whatever, be good to see a different copper every so often.
Phew, I think I rescued that situation smile

Plod busy on the street again. In the real world there's zero chance they'd be searching houses like that on a schoolboy allegation.

Everyone just sitting around at the same time listening to the news broadcast on ye olde wireless. Up next, the latest hit from Glenn Miller....

Yep, extremely odd and very unlikely. I'm an OAP and I don't have a radio in my home - who doesn't use their phone for news?

What's happened to Lauren? It's getting very murky - Daniel looked very shifty and Roy just can't explain himself properly. I have a feeling we may have another " free the Weatherfield one" on the cards.

Struggling to believe they'll completely flip on Roy's character and write him as a creep/kidnapper/murderer. I do think they will write some frustrating TV World policing around that before the story reveals.

We said same, absolutely ridiculous.

Similar again, we have another police investigation ongoing and PC Tinker is either working on the case directly outside his own home, or working on the case at the station with his new detective pal. He's a machine that guy, never rests.

A spin off series could be looming with him and her, a sort of The Bill but without any acting skills or storyline. Actually, thinking about it that was The Bill...

Stopped watching modern Corrie ages ago but was curious so just checked it out. I see what you mean laugh How very 1940s! Bizarre.

.
Me for one. Its new content is primarily clickbait and seems to give more priority to funny pets and lottery winner' woes than stuff that matters. So it's Radio 4 at home and Times radio in the car (or R6M ) and The Times paper .

No, she's been kidnapped and being held against her will. The kidnapper will be previous actor from the street, possibly Toyah's ex, the activist turned policeman.

No way will it be Spyder. With his previous character it'd be almost on par as it being Roy.

Lauren will suddenly re-appear one day in Roy's Cafe as if nothing has happened and ask Max if he'll join her for a coffee!

Poor Roy! I'm sure Christopher Jeffries suffered similarly until the truth came out.

The shouty young actress with the quads would do well to spend some time with Roy learning how to react and speak at less that 100db..

Do you know ,that is exactly what I thought , watching trial by public opinion . As I see, depressingly often, on PH I'm afraid.

Simon Barlow got a 6 month ban for leaving the scene of an accident. No other car or tp involved so just street furniture damaged, and he went back the next day. Judge mentions potential drink driving but "maybe" drink driving isn't an offence. There's no way he gets banned for that. Utter nonsense. I doubt he'd even be charged.

And Lauren's murder enquiry is headed up by DS Swain. DS's legally can head up a murder enquiry, but never would.
