Yes finding Ted Lasso tedious now and I'm only halfway through S2.
It's like one long sickly sweet Richard Curtis film.
It is. If you don't like Richard Curtis films, then I can't imagine you'd enjoy Ted Lasso. It's a well made 'feel good' sitcom. It's like one long sickly sweet Richard Curtis film.
I enjoyed watching it, but 3 seasons was enough.

Lasso hit a low on the first three/our episodes of S3; then they go to Amsterdam and it rapidly improves. Persevere (not a woman, here).
I agree. I did think it had run out of steam, but they ended it well.Edited by SpudLink on Tuesday 19th December 10:10

Has anyone watched all of "Schmigadoon"? A modern NYC couple get transported to a 40's musical, quite funny so far with some catchy show tunes. Does it keep up the songs & laughs for 2 seasons? I'm on ep 3
Schmigadoon is great in every respect, and Schmicago too. But you do have to be comfortable wandering around whistling show tunes. If you don't like old style musicals, you'll hate both series. The draw to me is that by themselves they are superbly written, choreographed, and sung, and you don't have to be familiar with any of the originals to enjoy these series.
But then if you do know some of the shows each episode is based on, you can get a whole extra layer of entertainment appreciating the skill of the pastiche.

Apple is going to be showing the MurderBot series soon (apparently a massive sci-fi fan-favourite novel series)
Really difficult to expect this to be anything other than a complete miss, or at least another Foundation-style 'use the title but write something completely different'.The books are nearly all internal monologue, there's very little action (the most recent plot is: we went down a tunnel, plugged into a console, went back up the tunnel), and the fun is in the irony and sarcasm of its interactions with humans, and the imagining of sentient machines being passive aggressive with each other. It's pretty much unfilmable I'd say.

Anyone else watching Monarch: Legacy of Monsters? At this point I'd be quite happy if all the kids get eaten or trod on by one of the Titans. The only person I'd save is Kurt Russell.
I am.It's slow and the monster scenes are few and far between. Not sure even Kurt can save it from mediocrity at the moment.

S1 of TL was very good.
S2 was a bit boring.
S3 is a 'heartwarming drama" and a bit crap.
There's more jokes in one episode of S1 than the entire third series and it's turned into a show for women.
This is pretty much spot on. S1 was brilliant, S2 went off the rails to some extent, and S3 was just boring and unimaginative. Hopefully they won’t be convinced to make any more. S2 was a bit boring.

Possibly the best yet.
You think ?I've just finished series 3 and didn't think it was a patch on the 2 previous series .
Looks like a 4th series has already been filmed
Binged S1-3 of For All Mankind on the recommedation of this thread. Really enjoyed it, not too much filler, interesting plot development. It might have gotten quite silly in places but overall a well made drama than even Kinneman couldn't spoil with his wooden acting chops. In fact he was better than expected. Ep1 of Season 4 not looking promising though. Silly decision by Kuznetsov to go out and too much of Margo loafing about in Moscow.
