finished Blue Eyed Samurai today. A few bits I saw coming, not to mention a few I didn't, which is never a bad thing - in retrospect I should have seen the ending and, truthfully, I'm not sure I 'approved' it or not. The series, however, I did enjoy.

I'm making my way through Dark, as everyone seems to say it's great.

I mean, the story's compelling, but it suffers from the "too many characters" problem, compounded by different people playing the same characters. It would be alright if the various actors looked somewhat alike or if the filmakers used subtle cues like associating certain colours with certain characters, but nope...

Enjoying it, though. It doesn't seem to have quite the same amount of padding as most Netflix series do. And the subtitles force me to concentrate while watching it on the treadmill; which pushes the fact that I'm on the treadmill further back in my mind. The acid test for whether or not a Netflix series is engaging...
To be honest, I needed to watch it twice and still struggled. I enjoyed it but didn't have a clue at time as to what was going on.

Dead boy detective agency.

From the same universe as Sandman - Gaiman as producer.

The two leads take some getting used to, particularly the faux cheeky chappy one. Similar design and editing, effects as Sandman but not as gripping.

Still better than most of the new stuff out.

Enjoyed it also, do like a bit of animation.

Dark is great but you should Google a few timelines, it’s a lot to keep track.

The most insane time travel film in my view is still ‘Primer’ but you’ll need a google lookup after that.

Baby Reindeer.

Watched it all in 1 go last night.
Pretty dark and disturbing. Superb acting from the lead lady.
Finished it last night, really good as a study of abuse and the effect that it has on people. Not always an easy watch, but well worth it.
This. Fair play for Netflix running with this. The true story seems unfilmable . . . . particularly with the creator playing himself. But it deserves the plaudits. Amazing.

Dark is amazing and one of the best shows I've seen. I get your point about the characters, as someone else said it can be hard to keep track of but stick with it. It's one of the most satisfying shows because everything is there for a reason and some stuff takes the full 3 series to make sense but nothing is superfluous. It rewards your attention.

Yep, finished last night. Entertaining at first, then gets dark, then really comes full circle as the 'meaning' of why its been made becomes clear. Hats off to them for running it. Good watch.

Coming out Friday, looks good, just watched the trailer.

"Comes out of retirement for one last job." Ah yes, that old chestnut.

I'll give that a miss thanks.
It's actually quite decent and not a re-run of his "Taken" character.
Just finished this, not bad and had a few nice cars in it.
Just watched this, definitely one of his better films, nicely period and lovely scenery to boot, worth the watch.

Agreed, enjoyed this, a gentle revenge type film with historical references rather than just some big company against small town rubbish,

Watching it now, great so far, I have to say that Jack Gleeson is superb in it.

Unlocked: A Jail Experiment
Documentary about trying a different approach in a US correctional facility. Really impressive to see a sheriff put it all on the line in a country which definitely needs to address their criminal justice system.

Some great characters and heartwarming moments. Well worth a watch.
We enjoyed this too

Netflix has suddenly decided that all my devices aren't part of my household so won't let me login.
I can reset via email but unfortunately (my fault) I can't get into that email account. Can't remember password and I've tried to reset it without success.
Just been on Netflix help chat and basically they can't help.
So time to cancel the payment.
I don't think I'll setup a new account to be honest.
Ok. Thanks for the info.

Life On Mars.

I didn't see it first time round, but watched Ashes To Ashes.

Nearly finished the first series. So far so good. A bit cheesy at times though.

Has anyone else on the Basic plan at £7.99 pcm received an email saying it is being discontinued and you are being automatically 'upgraded' to "Standard with adverts" at £4.99 pcm, but if you want to be advert-free like before it will be £10.99 pcm?

What Jennifer did

Watched it last night, we love a good murder mystery/documentary but tbh in this it was pretty obvious what happened from early into it.

It was watchable but not really edge of seat stuff. 6/10

Watched it yesterday, now I will admit this now that I am a massive fan of the Craig Fairbrass/Jason Statham getting their revenge on a bunch of bad guys films and I was hoping this was the same.

It started out well, he sorted out the first scumbag who 100% deserved it and had it coming. After that it went massively downhill, it just became really slow and boring until the end.

I got this too and I'm not impressed. I don't think Netflix is worth £10.99 a month but I really dislike adverts and just won't watch at all if they're included. I may go back to Prime and pay to be advert free as at least I also get free delivery

I've got until June 7th to consider my options.

Don't think ours is anywhere near that, but ours is rolled into our Sky subscription. For all their faults, Sky do seem pretty good at shielding you from Netflix price increases ime.
