I told Mrs F about this, "I've watched the first episode, it's great, you've got to take a look"
Her "Nah, ta, not interested in footie"

Also her, "Has the last episode dropped yet...?" biggrin

We loved it. Some great moments in there. I particularly liked the darts scene against Rupert.

I thought the first series was excellent.
The second series wasn’t rubbish but wasn’t a patch on the first, imho.

Haven’t seen the third series but is it worth watching? How does it rate compare to series one and two?

Again, not as good as the first. The other characters have more time in this series, Ted takes less of a role.
It is still excellent though and worth watching.

Is it over then?
It seemed to me like they left the have door open for another season, with the ending of the last episode.

I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a Roy Kent spin off

Series three starts slow and gathers momentum to gradually become excellent.

Personally I was disappointed with season 3. I definitely still enjoyed it but I did think alot of the storylines were a bit heavy handed especially when tackling themes that are in the spotlight at the moment. Some of the dialogue felt it was written by year 11 drama students!

Yeah, it's moralistic and intentionally kind and feel good.

With respect to Goldstein playing Bond, I watched Thor Love and Thunder recently and at the very end I seem to recall that he appears as Hercules.
Quite a few of the cast have gone on to great things. Hannah W is FOTM in loads of places and is hosting awards and doing loads of appearances. Brett Goldstein is like gold dust at the moment too. I can see a few others turning up in more to series too.

Loved all of it, all three series. As others have said there were a few sugary sweet moments and to me the only truly unrealistic bit that was just plain fantasy was when the players did the sound of music number, we all know that footballers cant sing that well!!! biggrin

Really enjoyed the whole thing and started again with episode one straight after the finale. Glad they have completed it there but would be interested in a spin-off or two - maybe a Keeley/Barbara PR firm one to distance it a bit from the football focus of this arc?

Well bugger me sideways, I presumed you were joking, but you are in fact completely correct! And I watched the damn film and never even noticed! Hah, that’s quite amusing.

I can’t get over Roy Kent’s UHD head - it’s like bigger and far more vivid than anyone else’s head. Other than that Hannah can’t half gurn - a lovely trait and a real woman to boot.

I thought the last series was fine but a noticeable decline from one and two.
Ending it there seems right to me.
I agree, with the note that S2 was a significant decline from the brilliant S1. S3 seemed disjointed and mostly involved with the checking of many boxes. It is good that it is apparently finished as the producers seem to be all out of good ideas.

Finished watching the whole 3 series, really lovely series and enjoyed all of it!

Beard's episode was a bit weird but as an overall just a shame it's finished now.

Watched a few episodes of this.

It was like it was written by a child, with every lazy stereotype and trope you could possibly imagine. It made ITV dramas look like succession in terms of depth and plot twists.

It’s nice to see almost everyone so positive on Season 3, but for me it didn’t land at all. I think it really suffers from being too upbeat and not having a good antagonist. There’s too many #thathappened moments, and some of the emotional beats aren’t earned at all. One comparison for me is the darts scene in Season 1 (brilliant) with the violin montage in Season 3 (just felt mawkish), and that summed up the arc of the show for me. Finally, the show was at its worst when they showed some football - almost every show requires a suspension of disbelief, but the actors are so clearly not footballers that it snapped me out of it a bit (and much more so than in season 1).

I thought Rebecca was generally very good, and the Kent / Tartt bromance was good fun at times.

But we don’t all have to like the same things and I’m glad everyone else seems to have loved it.
