Apple TV's Ted Lasso
Discussion
I’ve generally enjoyed all three series. There were bits that didn’t work, but far outweighed by the enjoyment of spending time with the characters.
At times it felt like a Richard Curtis rom-com, full of people and situations that are not realistic, but you don’t care because it’s just fun.
Great way to wrap up the show with a ‘happy ever after’ montage.

Richard Curtis overtones is a good starting point.
My prejudices were that I thought this was an American comedy about a Soccer team assuming that Hannah Waddingham would have an American accent. So could not have been much further from reality. I have only watched the first 5-episodes, but thought the set-up was perfect and she plays the best hyper-bh since Alexis Carrington. That is a very long time ago, for younger readers.
The characters are so enjoyable it is something that I will need to binge watch. A light-hearted romcom, who would have expected that in the 2020s?

You’re not wrong — but it’s less a rom-com and more a bromance. The bromance is between you and Ted Lasso, as it’s so relatable and feel good. On the BBC News website today; the majestic Hannah Waddingham giving a paparazzi snapper a telling off when he asked her to show a bit of leg...

She's brilliant, the wider attention Ted Lasso has gained her is great as she seems like such a genuinely lovely person. Saw her on an episode of James Martin's Saturday Morning show and she was hilarious.https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-6881...
I enjoyed all three series, definitely easy, feel good viewing.
My girlfriend absolutely loves it, we have now been to Richmond (not too much of a hardship as it is 5 miles away) and when we were in Amsterdam recently basically forced me to do a Ted Lasso location tour and take photos of her in the same locations as the actors.
Her Auntie is coming over to the UK next month from Australia and had no idea Richmond was an actual place so unsurprisingly we will be going to Richmond again and having lunch in the pub (I know they only used the exterior)
