The "Dumb Britain" feature in Private Eye is always good for a laugh. Here's the current one:

A trick question. There is of course no top British university which fits the letters O----D.

We (wife and me) had a very old edition of "Trivial Pursuit" and used to wipe the floor with the children and grandchildren until they bought the new version. Bugger.

Took grandkids ( 2 boys) to RNAS Yeovilton aircraft museum during the school hols, 9yr old with a big grin on his face said WOW Concorde!

Impossible , on right now has thrown up some classics , I've forgotten some of them .

From last year......Q ....Which artist .............?

3 Multiple choice answers...A] Vincent van Gogh B] Anthony van Dyck C] Hertz van rental

One player pressed C] seriously ! and didn't even use the usual excuse of hitting the wrong button by mistake . Well it definitely was a mistake , as Rick Edwards then humiliates the player .

Today.....Q......What physical condition ..........?

A ]something B] something else C] Henmania

Yep , a player went for C]

Another player last week had never heard of Louis Pasteur ,the bloke that invented milk . jester

I made that bit up for comedy purposes .

Another poor player ,on Countdown last week , she was rubbish with the numbers games.
If this thicko here can get them then a half decent player on tv should also.

In 2 of the numbers rounds the target was quite low ,125 and 176 I think ,she didn't even offer a close answer for either .I found them both quite straight forward maths .teacher

Yet another Chase celebrity repeat on ITV last night, three Z-list celebs and a former footballer, and the footballer was the only one who competed in the final round.

Yes they were dire. The chaser dropped a few as well. Maybe he knew their calibre and adjusted his game to make the show last longer than 10 minutes

Impossible has been mentioned here before ,today's was shameful .

The very first question today...

Q......There is a piece of which of these historical structures in the Vatican ?

A...Hadrian's wall
B...Berlin wall
C...Max Wall .

scratchchin

8 players went for C...Max Wall .
Some of them were of a suitable age that knew who Max Wall was and some were a bit young but really ?
They knock themselves out of the show for the day and all come back tomorrow .

Rick Edwards added that was the worst start to the show ,EVER !

Bridge of Lies. OMFG!

Too many to mention. The shower on today 24/4, even Ross Kemp was getting annoyed at the idiocy.

Things that are in Northern Hemisphere. Picks Antarctic.

Isn't annoyance Ross Kemp's default state?

rofl I don't know the answer, but I'd be reasonably confident that out of the 50 states, Alaska is probably the least likely to be correct.
