As we've discussed before on the subject of shoddy yank cars, there doesn't seem to be much of a punishment even if the cops do stop you for being unroadworthy.

(Same with driving around with no number plates, doesn't seem to be a big deal.)

I've always been tempted by one of them but I think you want to maybe keep a bit more aside as a slush fund, certainly in the first year.
Thanks very much

Watched some more officially gassed last week Jamie has done so well and created a great brand. The content is quite samey bur like KFC formula works so why change.

High Peak I like but always want the follow up sales video of his I bought a cheap etc.

@Jayemm89 would a bentley continental gt v8 coupe 2014/15 with q budget of 40 to 45k and 2k for running be a good idea or not?
It's always a tough one.

Do channels mostly die due to not evolving their content or do they die because they stray away from a working formula?
Everything has a shelf life but having a good formula is key and applying that to different cars. So I like Jayemm as its car reviews like top gear old with good an bad aspects. I like OG because it's about performance plus he gets some odd cars now an again like mid engine spitfire. An Schmee i don't like but again his presentation is formulaic an people like iy

It's not as though someone is going to sail out to the middle of the Atlantic to break into it.

It baffles me when people don't upload in 4K to Youtube - the bitrate at "1080p" is woeful, and any camera nowadays can record in 4k.
Sure Youtube 4k isn't actually 4k, but you get a MUCH better bitrate and it doesn't look like you're watching through soap.

It's the plot of the next Fast n Furious movie.

They are just starting out and likely don't have the money to spend on 4k go-pros etc.

They're clearly a couple of plucky young lads just starting out and taking a chance on life. Hopefully soon they'll catch a break and be able to afford a couple of cheap 4K cameras to film their Ferraris and Lamborghinis with.

They are already better and more watchable than "the car guys boys" imo

Met Shmee today at the Bicester Heritage Sunday Scramble

He was there with his SLS Black Series and his girlfriend. Nice guy, spent a lot of time talking to anyone that stopped him.

In Germany any mods have to be TUV approved
In Italy I think mods are basically illegal(!?)
In Andorra you can only import Euro 6 compliant cars!
Even in the USA dealers will add markup themselves to in demand cars, so just about nobody ever gets a bargain!

I think we have it very good.
Come visit Utah. I got bored one day so cut the exhaust backbox off my Cayenne. Now it sounds like a v8 and is incredibly loud. It's like mad max here, cops don't care, though I'm not even sure if it's illegal.

Funny story, they have emission here but no safety inspection. Turns out they had safety up until about 5 years ago when the Utah gov (red) decided that the 3 officers managing the whole states vehicle safety inspections was too much work.

Since stopping safety inspections "The UHP has inspected 44 cars after a wreck, finding half of them had a safety violation. But Spillman said the violations might or might not have contributed to the crash. About 36% of the violations were brakes and 16% were tires.

Troopers also did visual inspections at 50 used car dealerships and five new car dealerships, meaning they just looked at the front row of cars parked on the lots, Spillman said. Of the 714 used cars troopers eyeballed, 388 had violations, according to the UHP. Only 11 of 118 new cars appeared to have violations."

Freedom
Think Florida is the same, no safety inspections ?

I'm amazed at some of the cars I've seen. Last time I was there I was behind a Toyota Corolla badly crabbing down the freeway. It looked as though it had hit a pole side on very hard, the passenger B pillar was right next to the drivers head. It was like a banana.

I know there's no safety inspections but I thought the police would take an interest in obviously defective cars, but we passed about 4 or 5 troopers on the freeway and none of them even gave it a second glance.
Well, given it's only a small fine and 6 points if you DON'T HAVE ANY INSURANCE HERE I'm guessing the result of a crabbing car would be a stern telling off and no follow up.

Not everybody knows how to use camera kit properly. They're only just starting out, I am sure as things progress they will experiment with it

At least he hasn't felt the need to post the same picture of the half naked old man he seems so obsessed with

I see gobste is back at it. The CarGuys Porsche values plummeting video bloody autoplayed didn't it. Anyway 8 minutes into such credible insight he goes on about 991 tourings and now there are only 46 of them after the one that Chris Harris "totalled". I mean slightly disingenuous when considering what happened in that incident.

Imagine the shoe being on the other foot and he'd driven around a corner at the speed limit to find a pickup doing a 3 point turn on a blind bend and people suggested he had totalled it. He would be spitting feathers.

Didn't correct anyone in the comments either.

I doubt I am the first person to have said it or made a video but there were a glut of very similar looking and sounding ones after I did my Porsche value video. I already thought I was being fairly unoriginal!

I guess people in these parts might be more informed than others, but I don't think it was a particular secret to the contrary more a well known fact that values are tanking. Hardly expert insight.
