I did a quick search and it looks like a non Mansory cover, so he'd be much better off buying a blue one listed for half the price of this one!

What makes you think it's not this one...

https://www.flyingspares.com/outside-mirror-cover-...

I found the part number here...

https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/part?id=XZ82-EUR-...

Do we know the EXACT model (and year) of RR he has?

The best that I can get is

2023 Grey ROLLS ROYCE WRAITH V12 BLACK BADGE AUTO

Note... REALOEM may not be relevant, as the latest catalog is 12/2019.

The one Sidneybridge links to claims to be off Rashfords car, check the pics on the auction of the pile of bits from the crash site

No different from people taking home bits of broken rally car on a course I suppose. Technically they belong to the owner/team, but collectors don't care about that.
I would expect the mirror cover finder instantly saw pound notes on eBay, hence the daft price

Rashford - it hasn't gone through insurance. He's probably got bigger things to worry about.

I doubt it's gone through the insurance either, as it seems the car wasn't insured if it's windows were over-tinted as it seems to be and also that amount of damage, the car is a write-off and don't forget how much excess would rashford have been liable for, considering it was a accident at 30mph.

end of the day Mat Armstrong will make a pretty penny off this

his last raffle sold 60k tickets at £10 a pop £600k before costs/fees, so probably enough in the pot to cover the full build cost for this one and pay for his and his teams wages/costs for a good few months.

given the publicity this one is getting i would imagine the youtube earnings will be chump change to what the raffle nets him

I have never watched Mat Armstrong before, the only people I have watched doing these rebuilds are Tavarish McLaren P1 and Houston Crosta Bugatti Veyron.

Both are going to be keeping the cars, Tavarish McLaren P1 is going to be like a GTR no hybrid with bigger turbos and the Houston Crosta Bugatti Veyron has been rebuilt with pretty much all OEM parts and a custom interior and iirc RWD conversion.

Tavarish flood-damaged McLaren P1 paid $575,000 - cheapest on James Edition $1,200,000 - going to keep it.
Houston flood-damaged Bugatti Veyron paid $400,000 - cheapest on James Edition $1,500,000 - going to keep it.
Armstrong crashed Mansory Wrath paid $230,000 - cheapest on James Edition $480,000 - sell for profit.

The Veyron is the one crashed into the lake that went viral and has a pretty famous story and had been only really flooded, there wasn't any structural damage and has been rebuilt with pretty much OEM parts, new custom interior and a Bugatti dealer has checked the car over, doesn't need to sell the car, he has another Veyron and loads of money, no total amount spent on the rebuild has been given yet.

The P1 was floating about after a hurricane hit not as famous as the Veyron, having a new carbon body, new custom interior, no hybrid, there was some structural damage to the carbon rtub but it's been repaired, doesn't need to sell the car and wants to keep it, no total amount spent on the rebuild has been given yet.

Wrath, written off in a crash by an okay footballer, needs to have OEM parts put back on the car, and has structural damage, seemingly going to buy an older Wrath ($110,000) for parts, Mat may make a profit if it's raffled off, but nobody is going be able to run the car and maybe end up being sold t a rental company but they wouldn't pay more than whatever the cheapest Wrath is, and if no insurance will cover due to the damage the car has had, the car is worthless.

Why would anyone want a badly smashed up car that’s been bodged back together from eBay parts?

If the chassis and suspension are bent, would it even drive right?

Why not watch it and find out?

Also with tickets at just £10, why not?

Because I wouldn’t touch such a crash damaged car with a barge pole.

Sorry but that is rubbish, firstly of course it can be insured, it has never been recorded as a total loss, yes the history is on the net if you look but no issues with insurance. the car is far from worthless, it will be raffled plus views will more than cover costs, Mat is not stupid he would have fully researched the project before taking the plunge.

You are also glossing over the fact that Freddies P1 is in itself worthless in real terms as it was sold with a certificate of destruction and cannot legally go back on the road.

Interesting outlook, just so you are aware some badly damaged cars end up unrecorded, they get repaired and sold without anybody really knowing what has happened, you simply have no way of knowing and if fact you may even have purchased one in the past.

It’s £10 a ticket. It’s a gamble but if you win, you get a six figure car for £10?

Plenty of cars have chassis and suspension repairs then drive fine. Key is to repair it correctly.

Some of Armstrong’s methods may be a little Heath-Robinson but he does seem to very specifically ensure that the car is straight and not dangerous.

It will be fine, not sure what people think will be wrong with it, cars get repaired all the time, don’t think it’s going to not drive right, be dangerous or what ?

Your name has Miata in it, so you are or have been happy to drive a small, usually terminally rusty sports car that’s no way as sturdily built as any of these supposedly dangerous ones.

Plenty of reasons not to buy it but it being repaired isn’t my top one.

Good analogy actually... i'd fancy my chances more in Mat's M3 over a straight MX5 in a crash where the car ended up on it's roof.
