I thought all four would be worthy of my cash, but agree Steak and Chips was a dumb move and the French Onion Soup was a clear third.

I think the remaining woman is favourite for the win.
I was a bit disappointed by Terry's lack of ambition on that but she only just sqeezed through in some previous rounds.

It'll be an interesting final for sure.
Lots to catch up on!

Very odd indeed... not sure how she managed to make out she was under time pressure... or how Greg and John didn't say 'it's good, but we need to see more, this is just steak and chips'. I too thought she scraped through some earlier rounds. Quite astonishing.

There was a deserving winner and runner up.

... Overall, in contrast to some others' views, I don't think the standards have got a lot higher over the years. I've been watching since the beginning and we've had stronger groups.

... I've not been a fan of Smyth until seeing her recent menu this evening. We couldn't book a table either when we checked biggrin. Seems a good price though, relatively speaking - we're off to Taku in a few weeks and that's just got one star eek Stars aren't the be all and end all though. Loved Frog and that didn't even have one until I put it on the map laugh.

Just seen celeb started and no thread that I have seen only missed ep1 and they are normally train wreck. Probably will only tag on near the end.

Oh wow, not heard that at all, thanks. I’ll jump on, but I think most on here only really like the professional one.

Avoided the start of the last celebrity series but first episode last night was OK as celebrity things go.

Fair result - not much to choose between them. Need to be able to make chips though, but the burgers looked great.

Just caught up with the new Celebrity show.

So, Richie Anderson. Annoying, barely competent travel reporter, thick as mince, can't dance and apparently can't cook either.

Remind me why he's seemingly everywhere at the moment?

Box ticking, innit.
Your summary of him is spot on, BTW.

Jeez, they're pushing the definition of celebrity with this latest lot.

Some pretty poor cooking too.

Adding Hoi Sin to make a curry more authentic ! Unbelievable.

He ticks the "People Radio 2 listeners know" box which is very important when celebrity means Love Island or Influencer to TV Execs pointlessly chasing the youth market who clearly couldn't give a toss about a cooking show.

He sure as hell ain't no Sally Traffic ...

One of the best things on TV last year was the look on his face when he rapidly got booted out of Strictly hehe

Remy gone because they couldn’t pick up and eat her street food?
How the hell were they going to pick up and eat Max’s chilli in a loaf?

Left hand cupping the underside of the loaf. Right hand using the fork/spoon.

Easy.

In this case, I'd say confusion. It seemed she genuinely thought it would make her curry taste more authentic.

Anyone else still watching this? I really wanted to dislike the Go Compare guy, but he's actually quite endearing, and can cook a bit too.

Yes and yes! The ads pissed me right off, ergo it was him that annoyed me. But it seems a lovely bloke who can cook. Any of them could win it, I think. No stand out person.

Still watching and don't mind any of the last seven or so contestants.

My money was on Amy for the win but she nearly got herself booted out yesterday - lucky that Jamelia did worse.

I've been expecting Max to go for a while now but he's still in with a shout.
