I started late by what’s with this floor manager?! Is he going to replace one of them soon?
Should just be a voice off screen telling them the time - he has a nothing job really. He gets screen time but two fixed things to say (five minutes left, times up) so is left with just elaborate hand gestures to display his personality.

Me and Mrs-C ended up laughing at the poor sod each time he appeared.

He's the Masterchef version of Lord Sugar's receptionist.

Me and the Mrs do reckon he will end up on some celebrity game show at some point in the future though

Anurag is good, and Forest (keep thinking run Gorrest, run!) is even better, and has every chance of making the final.

Suspect Forest would have been better on a specialist baking show rather than Masterchef - using a packet noodle is just a big no no at this level. Also i've eaten Lobster Noodles at many a banquet and i've never thought "this just needs cheese to enhance it"

Think Forest wanted to be next out his other food earlier so competley better or practiced to the nth degree and this is his natural ability. Omar nailed it.

You may have a point there. We were really shocked by how poor his food was this round after being very good earlier.

Last night proved the old adage that you can’t polish a turd, but you can roll it in glitter.

Gluten free, vegan chocolate cake, with edible gold foil.

Looked, well, st!

Other newcomers last night were pretty good though.

Agreed I can't see many of them lasting apart from Linda and Owen.

Well it looked like A st... albeit with golf leaf, which apparently makes it posh.
I wasn't terribly impressed with last night's contenders.

1st half only two bad dishes the others were very good on a hard brief. 2nd half for me Owen and Linda dishes were again worthy of going a lot further with the other quarter finalst but not further unless lucky on the style of dishes like Vietnamese dumplings.

To be fair if Greg hadn't got her all excited she wouldn't have launched her saucepan of sauce...

Owen cooks something out of his comfort zone I think and didn't work out his times, shame. All dishes had bad points not the best cooks from this quarter.

Bit late to the party with this but he annoys the hell out of me hehe

Hexagon glass guy is over enthusiastic. Pissing me off. Only on the first tasting

ETA: wtf, where is the original floor manager guy?!

Yep - floor manager change already and still ads no value.

Another week with a fairly poor looking lineup but will see what they do as the week progresses.
