I watch it also. The young guy who bought that French chateau seems very optimistic - or naive. That's a 20-year job at the pace he's progressing.
I came back here to say the same ,the place has no roof ,almost no floors on multiple levels but at least the outer walls look strong .
He will also need a bottomless pit of money to complete that .

I've now tried an hour of Signora Volpe on Drama channel ,because Italy but it's really slow and a bit rubbish .

Woman takes career break ,moves to Italy ,buys old house needing renovation but starts to go out solving local crimes ,for no reason .

The British actors speak English ,some of the Italians speak both languages and some of them use Italian with subtitles .

Carmen Curlers (stream on Channel 4) is well worth a watch. It's in a similar vein to ' Class Act' about Bernard Tapie, currently on Netflix.

Its a Danish series based on the entrepreneur who bought the patent and developed the product into something workable. All the usual trials and tribulations of faulty engineering, banks that won't play ball and family issues from focusing on the task.

Last Stop Larrimah, HBO I think.

Aussie documentary, town of 11, bit partial to a drop of sauce, only now there is, only 10. What happened?

A real insight into weird small town Aussie life, WTF would anyone want to live there, one pub/hotel if you can call it that and that’s it!

Well worth a watch.

Before turning in last night I found a documentary on BBC2 about passports , mostly about the security features , biometric chip and holograms , also slipped into stuff about laminated glass with polycarbonate and face recognition.
Presented by the gorgeous Prof Hannah Fry, I do like brains and beauty and ginger hair .

[See also Alice Roberts]

There's only 1 thing I want to watch tonight , 10pm on D-Max .Iron Resurrection , yet another US restomod show but their work looks outstanding for many $$$$$$$$

I think it will be quite funny with Mulhern at the helm, the bloke is barking mad, my missus adores him.

Yes .you're right , I was a little harsh ,he will bring more humour than Edmunds has ever had .
I didn't watch One show so have no idea when it will be aired ,I'll at least give it a watch to see how it goes .

I will now summarise my night's tv viewing ,with Iron resurrection as mentioned earlier .

The shop's bosses wife Amanda goes out with "Shag" to buy the cars , tonight they buy a Chevy Silverado 1983 pickup bought new by a bloke now passed away ,he drove it just 69.2 miles then took out the engine and fiddled with the bodywork and never drove it again .

Amanda decides she wants to keep it nice and original ,the shop then tub the rear for some huge wheels n tyres ,repaint it and lightly change the almost unused interior ,lovely job they did and Amanda was well pleased .
Amanda is blonde and very pretty cloud9

On at the same time ,so watched on +1 was Border control Sweden ,the usual idiots trying to bring in meat ,dairy ,fish from outside the EU and having it confiscated .
A lady who had flown to Iran for 2 months took a frozen piece of Salmon ,from Sweden , all commercially wrapped ,7 hour flight to Iran ,put in the freezer ,not used , so brought it back again ,7 hour flight from Iran and the border control bloke advised her that it was very unwise to eat a twice frozen and defrosted fish and they binned it for her .

Funniest bit was a bloke who had had a reaction from a drugs dog ,in the strip search room , border control finds some Rizla type papers "under his scrotum " as the subtitles said . Bloke doesn't even know how they got there and denies he even smokes .biglaughbiglaugh

They didn't find anything else and he got sent on his way .

There's almost nothing to watch Saturday so you will be relieved to not have to read my tv watching waffle tomorrow night .bowtie

Bargain Hunt
This fantastic programme has a tie in with the forces and armistice day.
This involves going to shops and buying military memorabilia to flog on and see who makes the most money.
Some people may think it trivialises sacrifice but if at the end the profits made go to chareeeeeety then what harm has been done,

It's a show very happy to appeal to it's core, over 60s audience, a rarity at the BBC.

The Great Erection Deception: The Stiff Nights Story, ITVX

The Stiff Nights Story tells the jaw-dropping true story of a Mormon man and his vegan business partner who made millions by duping their sex-loving customers into buying what they believed was a ‘natural’ alternative to Viagra.

Laced with double entendre and innuendo, its hard to keep a straight face. I was convinced it must be a spoof, but no its real. Not family viewing.

Bill Bailey’s Australian Adventure; Channel 4.

Bill has a jovial jaunt around Western Australia. Pleasant enough feel good viewing, mixture of music, humour and observation.

Jesse Stone: Stone Cold 5USA

First of the series of TV movies.
They are very good but not to everyone's taste. Slow moving and as much about him (Jesse Stone) as the crimes he investigates.
Filmed out of sequence which means next weeks is actually the first story.

edited as original mistakenly said Channel 5 rather than 5 USA
