More positively, it made me watch the original again. My wife hadn't seen it yikes and is a huge swayze and dirty dancing fan.

Still a good film, albeit a bit cheesy.

I'd forgotten that there were more tits in it than a fat-ball laden garden, which made me telling the Mrs what a great film it is a bit awkward.

I was truly astonished at just how bad this was. The worst thing is that you know it could have been good.

McGregor didn't do hard man, didn't do villain. Did do 'prize tit'. Whole film however just lacked depth. I'm wondering how much 'shove out content at any cost' is degrading the worth of what we're watching.

I was disappointed with it as well. I was looking forward to watching it because I absolutely loved the original, but I think my expectations were a bit too high for this one though.

As mentioned, the CGI was comical in places for sure.

Same Lee! I fast forwarded a lot of it as Connor's character just pissed me off, it was utter stupid

Like you; I had high hopes as the original is such a good film (Road House 2 was better than this version and that was bad enough haha)

As said previously; this should have been left alone

but the fact he’s in it probably attracts more viewers than having someone established opposite the main actor.
It does/will. I had never heard of the original or this remake until he was in it, ill give it a watch one night for a laugh.

Utter shocker - JG must have been paid some serious dough to get involved in that, after his imo amazing performance in The Covenant.

Didn't even get to the end of it.

And C McG mouthing off in interviews about he's now the highest debutant actor in Hollywood is all a bit toss.

Got to stick McGregor in the next season of Kin. He's no Francis Magee for sure but he'll make the character Bren seem quiet and reasonable.

Terrible film
Tackier than the original. 2/10
Adding that tt McGregor in there, well.... made it worse than it could have been.
Absolute shocker.

The "crime boss" didn't scare me, my toddler going full metal tantrum in the supermarket was more scary!

To be fair the crime boss was the kid's dad who presumably was a scarey guy. Kid looked after operations while the dad was "away" but he wasn't up to the job. Clearly dad had zero respect for the kid.

I persevered but it was awful (and i watch films with Gerard Butler in)

Which studio exec greenlights a film like this ?

Conor geared up to eyeballs, swaggering, with them teeth. Quite frankly, magnificent.

Thirded. I expected it to be complete crap based on some of the reviews on here but it was actually amusing brain out entertainment.
