I’d expect the civil service would minute any formal meeting anyway as a matter of policy.
There's a great documentary the BBC did called 'Yes, Prime Minister' .. here's a clip regarding civil service minuting smile

It’s clear from the responses of the investigators in inquiry that the post office still think like that.

You would have thought that they would have had the nous to neither write or send that letter when they did!

Could be not wanting to be seen to be admitting guilt, the only option they have is to try and maintain the facade even when it is falling down around them.

It's the view from the bunker really.

However I did say a few weeks ago it was going to be impossible to "exonerate everyone who had robbed a post office" via parliamentary legislation.

Its perfectly possible and will happen.

I agree and I hope everyone does get exonerated, because so many lives have been ruined by the Post Office and their totally corrupt and evil investigators. They have no morals, they are like a stabbed rat which won't die.

Ironically. If they had done this properly, people actually guilty of theft would have been prosecuted and they wouldn't have to have a blanket exoneration.

I said it much earlier in the thread but I think it is time for a Royal Commission on the future of the PO.

In a strange sort of way I'm reminded of the situation with Germany in 1945. Everyone knew they were stuffed, they'd lost but they kept being told, stop it, surrender and we will stop. but they wouldn't budge and had to be flattened.

Post Office should realise they're stuffed on this, they're dead but there are some in the bunker that don't realise it yet and continue to fight. So just like 1945, no option but to flatten them. Step it up.

They had done exactly that some years before, which resulted in the Versailles treaty and that really screwed them.

Apart from that I think you're right. smile

If a policeman can be stripped of the employer element of his pension why can’t the same rule be applied to some of these PO idiots?

Her pension will likely be a private pension, not a government run one linked to the job.
Even if it was a company based pension, if her contract doesn't state it can be clawed back, then they cant reduce it.
These CEO contracts tend to be a rule to themselves, even when they royally cock it up, they get a payoff.

Do you realise what a bell end you sound? I hadn't realised you had joined the thread police.
Why not pop back to your own ‘Ryanair First Class seats’ thread and give ‘Acer12’ a telling off for just posting a YouTube link, with no description or is your policing selective? rolleyes
