Hell of a turnaround! She really ought to have taken a breath or two before running up!

I never saw it coming, I thought she would whip up there! Fair play to giving the other contender a clap though when she made it.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, seeing the jelly legs or a face plant on the tram-alator (spelling?) never gets old.

The face plant always makes me whince a bit! wobble

A couple of the glads looked a bit shaky on Duel tonight.

Did feel sorry for her, goes to show sometimes slow, steady and a bit of luck gets the win.

Really disappointing for Chung. It's a strange situation that a contestant who doesn't even win their heat was in the running to be a finalist.

The only contentious thing was Giant breaking the rules on Duel. He clearly lost his balance and used his stick on the contestant's platform to stop himself falling. Should have been a DQ, but I think they wanted to keep the scores close between contestants.

Agreed with giant, he got well lucky there! But if they wanted to keep the scores close between the contestants someone forgot to tell the girls hehe

Yep he clearly didn't drop his cotton bud. Is the ref blind?! hehe

Agreed by all here, while it was minor it was definitely a help in keeping him upright.

I had said to the wife that Wesley being much bigger than Chun would help him in duel. His relatively larger size than the other male competitors was probably a reason he was only a backup.

Giant getting a massive helping hand from the refs. Overbalancing on Duel which should have been a disqualification, and then shoving the contender out of Gauntlet with the ref saying the contender left illegally. Mind you, Clattenburg was always a clown when he reffed football so don’t know why he’d be any different here.

Gutted for Chung! I reckon he would have been on for a final spot and maybe even the win. He was our favourite anyway. But that knee twist when he got taken down in the power ball looked pretty bad. I bet his knee is like a balloon now.

I think as the competition goes on the contestants get a bit more feel for the games though and that shows on Dual. Who was it that changed stance on the countdown, Bionic? Nice move that hehe

Same, and he was our favourite for the overall win. Such a shame for sure.

I also thought this although there were some high profile ones. I also remember it being more brutal/physical in the 90s but that may just be the child memory, not sure.

Still enjoying it and ready to watch the final but I'm crying out for some other events at this point.

My missus said the same regarding the events, so I'm hoping that they add a few different ones in the next series. Overall I do think that they've done a really good job of the reboot though.

Yes, could do with something replacing Gauntlet - has any contender ever not made it to the end?! Perhaps get rid of the pads for the Gladiators then see how the contenders do?
