Just watched the first 2 episodes.
It’s not what I expected, and quite entertaining.

Just finished it. Fantastic series and I hope they make another! Slightly differs from the film but great in its own right

I started this yesterday planning to watch a couple & finished all 8 yesterday.

Thoroughly enjoyable typical jaunt from Guy Ritchie & I would of watched another 8 tbh

Great little cameos along the trip > I just loved the Gospel character

Is there any need to rewatch The Gentlemen film before watching this, or are they not linked?

Only 1 episode in but what's the point of the on screen writing?

It's a Guy Ritchie 'thing' isnt it?

I can’t accept the bloke from the detectorists as a crazy crime king, the voice is all wrong!

Who do you mean? I didn't recognise anyone who was in both series.

Really enjoying this, full of Ritchie stylistic cues and dialogue, casting is also straight out of the Ritichie playbook. Sharp, funny.

Gospel John played by Pearce Quigley. I thought he was very good at playing a nutter

I think it's clever that the possibility is there for Geoff to be Bullet Tooth Tony who survived and found a peaceful retirement..

27 years on the estate wasn't it?

I hadn’t made the connection, I thought he played The Gospel very well.

Me neither! The way he went from a whisper to a scream was brilliant. Another memorable nutter, along the lines of Arthur Shelby.

Also recently in Death in Paradise. One of those actors where you first recognise the voice, and then finally figure out it's Russell from the Detectorists.

Also spotted actor who played Gus Fring from Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, voice being the giveaway again.

Unimpressed with the Tommy Dixon scouse accent.

Giancarlo Esposito. More a question of what hasn't he been in

That's quite odd, given that he is actually a Scouser.
