Ring ring goes the phone, at 4am. Clearly still dark. ‘Cars will be leaving in 20 minutes!’.

‘20 minutes later’, the cars leave - in full morning daylight. hehe

There's a reason most fine dining uses 10 gallons of butter on everything!

the panel guy commenting on "pub curry from 1980s"

what a load of nonsense. Pubs didn't serve that. Was more like chicken in a basket or scotch eggs.

Curry in pubs only really emerged in the 00s. Even then mostly Thai not the classic Indian curry flavour.

Ive only just seen the end but next week is the most interesting episode for me when we find out a bit about their actual business plans.
The lass who survived tonight mentioned fitness classes, surely not investable in this day and age given a saturated market plus he's done that already if I recall?
Trey and Flo still look favourites but no doubt one will have an absolutely rubbish idea after all the episodes gone.

£88M worldwide market and growing.,,,

No its not.
infact most plant based stuff and vegan stuff is now getting less space in the superemarket aisles.
Also £88M is tiny.

Wasn’t it 88M people not £ ? But yeah, at that point I was thinking WTF? I’m sure Sur Alan lies in bed at night thinking ‘What’s the next big thing I can get in to? I reckon it might be Vegan Cheese?’.

Alan moving Tre across to Phills team to garentee he won't have to fire Tre or Flo then leaving the two he wanted to fire outnumbered on the other team. 3 against 4 is hardly fair as one team have 25% more staff members.

Yeah by changing the teams and having the other team stacked with the top 3 candidates, it was setting them up for a fall.

Meh…. every second episode (roughly, depending on double firings) has different numbers on each team. It’s actually 33% more staff at this point, not 25%. But It happens at this point every year - what is he supposed to do? Let Karren or Tim join in on the smaller team?

I’m sure it gets taken into consideration during the dissection of the losing team in the boardroom anyway.

I felt sorry for Faluja (can’t remember her name). She gas the role that needed 2 people and was handed a hospital pass by Rachel. You need to brainstorm branding and marketing.

Having only dipped into one or two recent episodes of this series, given the format is so dated and contestants are genuinely so poor, I have come to the conclusion that the only two episodes worth watching are the interviews and final task!

The rest is just fabricated ‘entertainment’ which is literally just the same old dross on repeat.

At least the interviews are usually pretty brutal as the candidates get well and truly exposed - that’s worth a watch!

Another poor ‘reward’ this week as well, they didn’t even get to leave their own house rofl

Can’t wait for next weeks; ‘ Go back to the house, where I’ve arranged for a high end, luxury team of domestic cleaning engineers to wip the hoover round and wash the dishes’.

On You're Fired the guy mentioned part of the thinking to just send one person to do the marketing was so it would just be one vision and would not get diluted by two people having different ideas. I don't think they quite realised how much work it would be.

Cheese in curry is definitely a thing, it's quite common to use paneer cheese as a meat replacement so I don't think it was that bad of an idea and it's good to see a team actually try something different rather than play it safe.

The final five were ordained before last night's programme was begun. That's why Rachel looked peed off from start to finish because she saw that her chance of getting through was hugely diminished by being with the other two, compounded by neither of them being willing to lead the task. Felt sorry for her as she'd been very good all the way through, but the sacking of the other two was harsh as Faluja did quite a good job of the marketing IMHO.

Just shows how this show is entirely manipulated to get the chosen five to interview stage then the final two to the ultimate show.

And why the hell they persist with the whole 4am phone call nonsense is beyond me.

But then I remembered it's just a TV show....
