That woman clearly didn't care about the safety and welfare of her kids - I wonder if the police would inform social services in such cases?
Who cares. They will probably grow to be just like her, or worse.

Depressing to see the drunk driver in such a state, crying his eyes out by the roadside. Ridiculous given his history.
He needs help with his life. Drunk driving seems to be the least of his worries. Very sad.

Indeed, you have to think how they will turn out too, being brought up in such a 'I can do what I want...., it's not my fault' based environment. As objectionable as their mother I fear. The histrionics in the Intoximeter Room at the station was really telling. At that stage any normal person would be thinking 'it's a fair cop, you've got me'. With the camera being there you'd want to keep some degree of self-respect I would have thought.

Bump to say this episode is repeating now on BBC3. Totally worth watching for the appalling woman who drives pissed out of her skull with kids in the car and then plays the "iz it coz I iz black/female" card and a variety of other bullst. The way the cops stay calm is incredible

Just watching this for the first time on bbc three.... what a wretched we! I would have lost it by now which is one reason why I couldn't be a traffic cop.

Am not ashamed I'm from Bradford, but I'm bloody ashamed of the people who populate it. Nuke it from orbit - it's the only way.

Well, other than the fact that with 40 burglaries, and what sounds like ABH, the gang got a poxy total of 9 years. (they'll be back out and thieving again in under 4 years) Hardly worth even bothering catching the criminals anymore......

Yep! The courts and the sentencing system are the week point in law and order, IMO. Wouldn't be so bad if they were made to do the nine years, preferably with hard labour.
