I remember Top Cat, i'm 33. Doesn't make me want to change mortgages, but it's great seeing them on TV again. smile
Against the grain of the thread but agree this is one of he few ads lately that DID make me smile, even though as mentioned the target demographic seemed wildly off, and indeed the ad itself wasn't that funny really.

Still nice to see TC again, and I don't mind seeing the Muppets on the Warburtons ad either.

I'll get me coat.
I blame Halifax for starting the trend of ruining classic songs with simpering acapella 'sing-overs' so I'm glad to see them pulling TC out the bag.

.... -although if they are lending money to stray cats now... We're doomed!! hehe

That fking 'Shaka Khan' Virgin Media advert. Has it been on about a year now? Nothing intrinsically bad about it, but I have to mute it now.
Is that the one with the house party? If so, I'm clearly a grumpy git as all that ad make me think was how pissed off the neighbours must be.

One of the break your legs finance companies has started using "Tarzan Boy" by Baltimora as the music for its adverts.

Now I'm stuck singing "pound of Bananas! pound of Bananas!" for the rest of the day.

I just popped on to post this one, bloody awful, those mouths!
As disturbing to watch as the current ad wonk obsession with CGI babies doing adult things(Evian being the main offender) and generally being creepy.

Aside the loan sharks and ambulance chasers ,there are a number of adds which realy grate on me, but these 2 are in a league of their own:

Travleodgical Really? Utterly embarrassing

Moneysupermarket . Say no more

Needless to say, for offending my eyes and ears so much, neither of these companies will ever see my business.

I saw that last night just as I turned my computer off, almost switched it back on just to post that on here!
It reminded me of one of those set-up shows by the likes of Ant and Dick, where they get a celebrity to dress up and act like a moron on the pretence that it's for a real advert. biggrin

Robert Webb's career doesn't seem to have done too well.

2 years ago he was plugging the Meerkats and pretending to be the "Real" Alexander Meerkat.

Today he's now teamed up with Churchill to hawk their products in another awful bout of advertising.

Tax bill; he'll have blown his Peep Show loot on ladeez and disco biscuits in a 'Sir Digby Chicken Caesar'-esque bender instead of paying 'The Man' at HMRC.

I wonder if he goes home at night and punches hell out of a David Mitchell effigy while screaming "why you and not me, you bd?". Odd how things work out.

I liked the Top Cat ad first time around. Second time was "oh", third was "sigh" and now it is grinding my helicals. The TC sounds nothing like TC, and I could do a better impression of Benny when I was 11. Officer Dibble isn't bad though.

The shouty / flat Ikea advert showing how depressing it is getting old really isn't good.

He comes across as oddly soulless on stuff I've seen him alone, I reckon that must play a part.

Apparently all well-dressed lady helicopter cattleherders use Blu vape things. rolleyes Almost as risible as the CURV advert which expounded the idea that vaping and travelling by bus makes you irresistible to women and bearded roadapples, even ones who are asleep; cheesefest rip off of the Marlboro Man.

Apple are back advertising their various products including iTunes. As a result expect more awful cover versions of old songs. This time someone has done an excellent job of ruining Ready Or Not by The Fugees banghead

Also James Corden narrating the various adverts for Disney subscription services, Disney Sky channel, etc.

Top Cat would be ok if the voices sounded anything like the orginals.

I hate the humanoid Rodent DIY things, reminds me of a st Hamstered up version of "Didnt I Roy" sketch from the Fast Show, Caroline Aherne and John Thompson, but not anywhere near as funny, just annoying.
