But what I don't love
(1) adverts for donkey charities in the third world. SHOULDNT WE BE SAVING THE DONKEYS IN BRITAIN FIRST?? but seriously the hypocrisy of a charity taking money from a rich western country to go and save donkeys from working too hard in the third world to help the poorest people in the world make some money is mind boggling.
(2) vision express adverts with the retired news reader Trevor McDonald. They use some of the most emotive events, made up of millions of people's hard work and suffering to promote their s
tty product and get old Trev one more pay day. Trev himself acting the noble and respectful gentlemen we should all aspire to be, whilst selling out in the most hideous and pathetic fashion.
(3) as mortgage companies realise there isn't really much to lending that they can differentiate about, there is now a lender Called Santander doing a whole Jessica Ennis featuring bit about how their new online application system saves time! This gives you more time doing the wholesome st you love doing, like arguing with family members, rather than enjoying a bit of peace and quiet doing a mortgage application for an hour. Now it only takes half an hour because it's ONLINE!! This is revolutionary. It is literally going to save you time. All that time you spent last year doing mortgage applications? All those minutes wasted, not any more, online is way quicker. The benefits of which are certainly not underplayed in this pathetic advert.

Well its 9000 posts. 
I seem to remember that one of my first ventures into P&P was a similar thread to this one. In fact it may even be this one, I can't be bothered to check.
But we've been through a lot in that time; Terrorist outrages, ISIS, Gordon Brown, The Eddstone, Spoonface, Boaty Mcboatface, Corbyn, Charlotte Church rioting, Trump, Cockwomble being barred, Saab going bust and Garlick leaving.
I myself have been both helped out a lot by PH, driven a few people bonkers with my lyric quizzes and even been threatened with physical violence by one member.
But through all of it, I've had faith that we all would survive, that everything would be ok in the end.
But since yesterday morning, I've given up. That's it I'm out. The End of Days is at hand, The Man will be coming around and he WILL be taking names. Because yesterday morning at about 10-00 I staggered out of bed, grabbed my morning coffee and was exposed to this. No, not the horrible realisation that John Cleese is so skint that he now has to we himself out to the PPI scumbags. That would be bad enough. But yesterday morning I was greeted with....

I had the misfortune to see the start of the Flash advert again (cue lunge for the remote to change channel).
It's so appallingly bad, and I find it staggering that such a clumsy, crass, childish effort on behalf of Proctor and Gamble, who must have an advertising budget to make the eyes water, got through presumably umpteen layer of approval at the agency before being submitted to P&G, then through another umpteen layers of approval at P&G.
