When the bank worker's face comes in to view on his laptop screen, she looks really scary.

The cynic in me thinks Barclays is pushing internet use on their non-IT-literate customers so they can shut some more branches.
You are not alone, that is exactly what I was thinking to. Invest a little bit of money teaching those who are most reliant on branches how to use PCs, then do away with the branch and save a fortune whilst giving the impression Barclays is a caring company who have empowered their users at the expense of their own staff.

The new McVites advert with the owls.

Looks suspiciously like the Brain Slugs from Futurama to me. Gives me the creeps anyway.

Karcher steam window clean machine.

Two couples cleaning inside and outside the house on the same pane of glass one with bucket and squeegee (stupid male) and other with Karcher.

At the end bloke looks deflated woman looks smug as they look at the window they've both been cleaning and it's streak and smudge free. So, that means the bloke did a good job as well. Right?

Annoying because it's flawed but also if anything the bloke would be the one justifying the yellow toy not the woman.

I agree; the "stupid man" advertising trope is becoming clichéd to the point of being offensive and rather sexist.

The direct line ones are really starting to get on my tits. They've used the same ridiculous song and boring format for about 4 years.** They also seem to be on pretty much every ad break on the digital channels. Thank god for the mute button.
.** See safestyle windows adverts. Same old dross year after year.

It's equal rights see. This also means that wimin have spending power and I am pretty sure those adverts are thought up by men anyway which ironically is quite typical of men because they are actually tricking these stupid wimin to buy products that the men would have to quanitfy to them at some point anyway! hehe

Think about it: An electrnic shiny gadget that any red-blooded male would buy in a heartbeat being advertised to females!
"Can you clean the windows dear?"
"I thought you bought that speacial steam cleaner?"
"What that Parcher thing, oh I can't work out how to do it. You do it dear, you are so much better at those things than me, Besides, it's the sort of job a man should do anyway."

True.

It's been like that for over 20 years.

In 50 years time people will be looking at these ads and saying "How could we have referred to me in such a derogatory way".

I have to say though, it's generally a certain type of man who is depicted as a bumbling and dumb failure i.e. a man in his mid 40s to mid 50s. Younger and older m,en are generally treated more kindly.

The Coronation Street / Emmerdale advert that rivaled the Eastenders one from Xmas. Even has a woman singing a breathy slow version of Tainted Love.

I don't understand why Soaps need to advertise anyway, if you don't watch it by now, you're not going to watch it in the future.

I think that soaps will eventually die off. All the kids we know never watch them, the likes of faux reality crap seems to have replaced soaps for the younger viewers.

And the last time I watched a bit of Easterners/Coronation Street, Dirty Den and Angie were in the former, and Stan and Hilda were in the latter!

Thank the Lord for HBO!

This. Who the F is that non-entity supposed to be? Yo!
He is the star of a TV programme which is widely, and critically regarded to be one of the best of all time and which has won 10 Emmy awards, 2 golden globes and holds a Guiness world record for the most highly rated TV show in history.

I've been meaning to get around to Breaking Bad but this has put me off a little bit. Is he as annoying in that as he is in this ad?
I'm up to season (spit) four of Breaking Bad and although his character speaks in the white urban gangsta wannabe stylee (yo! bh!) don't let it put you off. It is a stonking bit of work. If I had the time I'd sit and watch the rest of it in one sitting.
Agree with the above. Don't let this advert put you off Breaking Bad. It's one of the best TV series I've watched in a long time. The cast are superb.
Except the guy in the advert who is so annoying all the time.
Or maybe he was just playing the part of an annoying guy...

The Renault advert where the goldfish performs impossible feats to make it to the sea.

A freshwater fish would almost immediately die in the sea.

This annoys me
