They'll only make the first 12 issues before people stop buying them and they won't have enough money to continue. So you've spent £75+ for 10% of a submarine.
It does make we wonder whether anyone actually gets to complete one of these.........I always thought the same - what happens if the company goes tits up halfway through - or reader subscription falls to a level whereby it's no longer viable.

For £800 odd quid - you could buy one hell of a decent replica.

"I...am.....a bit..........of...a..................................................perfectionist

I..am....a...............wedding florist...."

Vista print, with their silly actors trying to act at what they perceive 'normal', and failing miserably.....

Latest piss boiler advert is the build your own U boat sub & magazine, with the first issue 99p and only 150 further issues at £5.99, so thats only £899.49 to build a model submarine rofl
And another laugh build your own Mallard steam engine, yes only 50p for the first issue and 130 further issues at £7.99

So yes, thats over a fking grand for a model train rofl

After the first few weeks they become something your newsagent would have to order in. I would like to know how many actually get to the end of it though.

I love the bit at the bottom of the advert
"Paints, track, engine & gearbox available separately"

So how many more pounds is this going to add to your build?

New Iceland advert with Peter Andre plumbs new depths. He holds up a bag of frozen peas, clearly printed with the words Grade AA, and describes them as Double Grade A. Have I misunderstood? Is Antipodean English different?

(Sorry, I s'pose this belongs in the "things that annoy you beyond reason" thread)

I did the build the Bismark ship one a few years ago, made the hull and then waited till I had all the bits to make the rest. It was already running in Germany so was guaranteed to be finished not run out.

Yeah its expensive in the long run but its a HUGE thing and very detailed, and its a modelling challenge as you make the hull from ribs of wood and double thickness, takes ages but if you do it right looks ace.

I wouldn't do it again, but I enjoyed that one.

I don't smoke or drink so its not like I was out of pocket at £20 a month smile

Not on a TV advert but a radio one for the citroen DS3

At the end of the advert it's heard driving off up the road and it's clearly not a 4 pot and to my ears sounds more like a V8. Really bugs more.

Yes it's quite rubbish.

Why does he sound so English?

I've always thought his Australian accent sounds forced.
