There's an advert, possibly for Morrisons or something, can't remember, but it has Marco Pierre-White in it I believe and at one point he's talking to a butcher. Asks him if the beef is local and he says "oh yes, from only 70 miles away".

We live in England, you're never more than 70 miles from the SEA let alone a cow. If it was 20 miles fair play but 70!?

Maybe it just bugs me as my beef comes from 1 mile away. I consider that local.
I've noticed that one also. I assumed that they were trying to come across as the beef or is from England rather than overseas.

But yes, I think local is the wrong word to use and yes it got to me too.

What about the Thomson advert with the one eyed bear and the lopsided smile that morphs into the Thomson logo.

Can't make my mind up, sickeningly sweet or one where the ad agency and branding wonks earned their money?
I love that ad

The one that's just started up for the Millennium Falcon model.

Im sorry, what now? £900!!! For a fking magazine and model?!

Will ANYBODY buy this?!

Not mentioned so far surprisingly.

It doesn't make me want to compare insurance using said site.

I'm sick of all the beardos in adverts these days. Is this because so many hipsters work in advertising or something?

That fat bloke who does the plus net adverts. Annoying tt!!
Those ads are deliberately designed to be crap and I quite like them. Especially the one with Heaven 17 in it.

The annoying advert for some anonymous Seat econobox...'keep right', 'keep right', 'that's my boy', etc. The reaction of the feckless tt driving, when the ugly little brat in the back seat spouts up 'that's my boy', makes me want to gouge his eyes out with rusty spoons.

The pug gti ad. I assume it's supposed to be a pastiche/homage to the 205 but it just looks shonky.

Also an ad for some anti smoking product "you are 150% more likely to quit with product x" err.

Finish dishwasher thing with Carole Smilie and added Dr to lend some credibility to proceedings.

The good Dr also happens to use Finish herself, which is nice.

They missed a trick there, the 3D globe should have been a Death Star.
