What about the one where they are painting a shed, blonde girl in a red dress dances a little jig while they do it, quick pause for her to stick her tongue out and then she continues dancing a jig again. Does she need the toilet or something ? either way what the fk is that all about ?

I know Meerkats have nothing to do with car insurance but at least there's some kind of story, theme, something you can find redeeming in it.
Speaking of the Meerkats, Compare The Market must turn a fair profit to be able to pay for Arnie's appearance on their new ads.

Although I notice they're now flogging cinema tickets instead of cuddly toys.

Yes I did a bit of a double-take at that tbh smile

Fair play though, they've created a brand - do you "tell people to try the comparison sites" or to "go on Meerkats"?

Karma fking chameleon I mean seriously just WTF biggrin

I too did a double take when I saw Arnold in the new ad!

The hate is then compounded with the tag line at the end of 'one life, live it'. Well quite, do they not know that IT'S. JUST. A. PHONE. One life, live it - presumably with your head down glued to a bloody screen all day long communicating purely by text rather than actually speaking to people. It seems it's more important to make sure people see you're having a good time living your one life rather than actually having a good time.
My ears pricked up when I heard the One Life, Live it. Used to be adorned on numerous 4x4s of years gone by because of the Camel Trophy. I wouldn't say a single mobile phone makes or breaks a life.

I think it's just careful editing using a film clip.
They would have to pay royalties for this but much less than paying for the person them self.

+1 for the Allianz advert.

Another one doing my head in is the new Maria Bingo one. I used to quite like the old ones that used the Blondie song, but WTF is going on with this one? Pet pigeons and turning guinea pigs into knights, with some arbitrary 5 figure cost involved? What were they smoking?

You mean it's edited? It isn't an interview with a real meerkat? frown

And the new Renault Zoe ad, if it hasn't already been mentioned. Yet another girly-girl voice singing a breathy slow version of a song that used to be quite good, in this case "That's Entertainment".

I saw that Allianz advert last night. I thought that maybe you lot were exaggerating but it really is terrible. Who the hell signed that off?

Having been off sick this week, most of the adverts shown on daytime TV are eye-gougingly bad.

Particular criminals are PPI firms, payday loan companies (looking at you in particular, Pounds to Pocket)and no win, no fee personal injury lawyers.

But the absolute worst, the steamiest turd in the cesspit, is Gala Bingo. Having seen it, I not only wanted to smash my TV up, but then hunt down the f$%^tards who appear in the advert and eviscerate them using the shards of glass from my smashed TV.

I agree with all that, BUT, they are cheap ads made on a budget.
The Cuprinol one with the couple painting the shed is a proper expensively produced ad. Who the hell thought it would sell more cuprinol if they got some girl who is so stupid she wears a posh frock to paint a shed, mind you if she's stupid enough to associate with that dhead she's stupid enough for anything. I'll use Ronseal in protest!

That re-edit Windows phone ad with the stty band (i know it's been mentioned on here previously), but the way she goes
"remind me to take photo's back stage in LA...you know...for our fans"

I'm sure both of them can get by without seeing your photos. Now fk off and let the to your left get friendzoned by a phone

The HTC phone advert with a some annoying hipster types prancing around the place, including an art gallery in some sort of faux Ferris Bueller knock-off, generally being annoying hipster types. Extra hipster points for rollerskating down the street in a blue 3-piece suit, no doubt on the way to a coffee shop to connect to the free wi-fi.
I found myself on the edge of my seat in this one, hoping that someone would walk out behind the guy while he's roller-skating backwards down a busy street. Or just stick a leg out, or something.

And why, when the power goes off, do the lights on the different floors in the tower block go out in sequence? Wouldn't they all go out together?

The people who come up with ideas for adverts I think are not one with the world.

The one with that demented bloke hiding behind the furniture and explaining to his wife that he's trying to find a cheap hotel deal.

What is concerning is that this was aired to a panel of senior people, who had probably spent tens of thousands of pounds to get this produced and they said -'That's brilliant!

They're selling a pointless gadget that's like a spraygun and a brush, only less useful than either.

Karcher window cleaner. She is doing the inside and he is doing the outside and yet there are no streaks visible.

Which shows that doing it the old fashioned way makes no difference.
