The insurance ad that makes a big deal about giving you a tenner for every day they keep you waiting for your car to be repaired. So long as it doesn't equate to more than seventy quid though!

The new Aldi one, where they think up witty and cleverly different words to the first two lines of "My Favourite Things", then lose interest altogether and jump straight back into the originals. The first two lines are about barbecues and, of course, umbrellas, then we're straight back into brown paper packages tied up with string. Surely it can't be that hard to think of something for the third line as well?

I saw that one earlier on as well vomit

If the cringe thread still existed on here, that advert would fit quite well into it hehe

That level headed advert annoys me.

Why would she have so many photos of herself with a level head, and why would she borrow money at 415651949% interest to redecorate?!

The washing machine is shagged! But look at the pretty wall with paper that I cannot hang properly!

Raaah!

Also this, the very opposite of level headed. On what planet does it make sense to pay back more each month than you borrowed in the first place? I can't believe these APRs are legal. I do love the stained glass on the front door though.

I just wondered when watching the advert how much it would actually cost, so out of curiosity I put the figures quoted in the ad into an online loan payment calculator, and that's what it quoted. Scary

Really?

I suggest you never have kids, the real thing is a million times worse.

All be it weird, I think it does something that only the best adverts do. Get people talking about them. It's for a weird reason, but that V10 wail! cloud9

Christ on a bike!!!!!!!

Only a clinically brain dead moron would apply for that! I guess that's their target market though?

ETA:

Weirdly, on their own website it doesn't show you how much you'll repay per month until after you've input your details... I wonder why?

The Aldi "gastropub" adverts are really starting to grate now. Oak Furnitureland adverts have always grated.

Gala Bingo adverts make me want to hunt down everyone involved (ad agency staff, the people who took part in the adverts and the people at Gala Bingo who signed off on the ads) and set fire to them, just so I could stand watching and not piss on them.

So much so that you didnt notice they were for Lidl laugh and yes the level of smugness on them and faux surprise at the prices is grating
