The Halifax ads with Hanna-Barbera characters. First they had Top Cat, now the Flintstones.

I guess they must have sent most of the money on the licensing, then a bit on the animation 'cos they sure didn't spend much on the voice talent.

It's like watching the German dub of The Simpsons, the voices are just utterly wrong.
My first thought after seeing the Flintstones one was "I wonder if Fred has advised his insurer about his performance enhancing new trainers."

How Head & Shoulders' agency thinks it's a good idea to keep that bloody Joe Hart ad on the schedule I do not know.

Another that isn't provoking feelings of telly smashing, just irksomely derivative; the Gaz and Leccy thing is a cheap rip-off of Itchy and Scratchy and an ad for smart meters that appeals to infants seems like a waste of effort.
A couple of things for me about this ad.

Firstly, I know they aren't people but it's incredibly violent, i'm surprised it's allowed.

Secondly, what a FANTASTIC song the Sweet Ballroom Blitz is. Still sounds great today.
I really liked that advert when I caught it for the first time the other night! Different folks, different strokes I guess.

I haven't watch live tv for a while until I got freesat. I think they are getting worse. All I see is nothing but loans, credit cards, bt and sky want your service, live or funeral costs. I don't see anything for help with deat or anything useful. The worst is the gladson brook ad I was hoping not to see it again since most people have sorts there ppi by now but it still shows and hasent changed for years.

Oh yea the bingo ones and the early hours noting but poker, betting and slots. I use to remember after midnight there more programs then ads and ads where showing something you would want or buy.

I have notice a patten on them. Most of the day upto the evening its the clams and lones ads, sky and bt budles through the evening binogs and online shopping and late night until the early hours nothing but betting and gambling.

I wish that the broadband ads just say it £20 a month since you have to pay the 18.99 line rental no mater who you go with.

I had the misfortune of seeing some 30 seconds of gaz/leccy last night. It simply didn't make any sense. Perhaps its aimed at younger people than myself??
Its simply weird....

Can we include smashing the radio up?

If so, I'm nominating James Martin for his "I don't usually work on Tuesday, here's a crappy sandwich idea".

That QuidQuid advert with the car breaking down at the side of the road is particularly cringe due to the ste acting.

PatientClaimLine- "I want to make sure what happened to me, dosen't happen to anyone else". Oh fook off you utter tool. You want compo for whatever minor accident you've had like every other scrounger (hence the emphasis on "FIGHT for compensation") . I detest any advert from ambulance chasers.

"Shakira presents Oral B" - what the hell is this crock of st? Shakira isn't "presenting" anything, they've shoved a random video of her in the advert and no doubt sent her a few quid and then said "Shakira presents". Bloody hell what a shower of ste.

We're allowing radio ads?

I nominate anyone selling a fakkin' vaaaaan, builders stuff or advertising for scrap metal. Why the fk is every cant from fakkin essex, when it's being advertised in Manchester?

Lumix GX80.

I haven't actually bothered to look at what's onscreen, the music is what puts me off.

Basically it sounds like they wanted Back In Black but didn't want to pay so commissioned something that is broadly similar but with enough deliberate changes so they don't get sued. Ersatz music is really annoying especially where it's obvious.

Someone else had an ad doing the same thing with the theme from Up! which was just as noticeably wrong.

There's an ad for (i think) old Jamaica Ginger beer.

The guy presenting it says "He's got it, She's got it"

What have they got???

Tallawah !

Now I've been to Jamaica several times, absolutely love the place and I've heard a few phrases from the local Patois. Not once have I heard this word or anything like it.

Have I missed something.
